I was just thinking something similar. It really does seem like Jeb! is being punished for the sins of others. Although, I’m sure Michael Schaivo disagrees about the “others” part.
The theme music for his campaign is Simon and Garfunkel’s “Sounds of Silence”. Bush giving a “fiery speech”… just what is the sound of 1 hand clapping?
He’s in it for the long haul, doncha know.
Poor Jeb!
Anyone who thinks they’re important is usually just a pompous moron who can’t deal with his or her own pathetic insignificance and the fact that what they do is meaningless and inconsequential. --William Thomas
Isn’t it rich?
Isn’t it queer?

And where are the clowns?
Quick, send in the clowns
– Stephen Sondheim
I’m honestly starting to worry that Jeb!'s journey from hilarious bathos to genuine pathos will work as a sort of ritual sin-eating that cleanses the Bush name for the next generation. When George Prescott Bush or Billy Bush or whoever runs for President, I’m worried people will forgive Dubya’s war crimes on the grounds that Jeb! “suffered enough.”
Never got traction
For his action
More a reaction
From all factions
Low energy dude has a low energy crowd. Go figure.
He’s become Milhouse Van Houten.
Kinda sums up his whole campaign!

This made me think of a Tom Waits song.
This is a guy who was governor of a state that had a failed election reminiscent of a third world country that was so messed up that a conveniently partisan supreme court had to step in and choose the winner who of course did not receive the most votes in any way. The winner in this case was his brother who lost two twin towers, three thousand people, started two wars on a credit card, wrecked the economy and that 's not even all. Now Jeb! looks like an oaf. Karma as they say is a B-I zitch.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer family, except maybe the Koch’s.
It’s really bad form to laugh out loud before faking an orgasm.
Uh, so I’m told.
Thank you so much for this post.
I’ll tell you who had to ask for applause: Fred Thompson running for prez in the Iowa primary, in the contest that ultimately went to McCain. It was also painful.
This is actually becoming sad and embarrassing. Someone needs to put this puppy down, and end the pain.
This would be painful if it weren’t so damn funny.
