Jesus. I would be the second-worst candidate for President who ever lived, but I’d be better than Jeb. It’s like he inhabits a universe where having a sincere conviction is as impossible, as inconceivable, as a five-sided square would be in this one. He seems unable to understand or believe that his own father could have a sincere conviction. So, so strange. In his passive, mealy-mouthed way he’s really as bizarre as any of them.

It’s unfair to judge Bush by that alone.
You need to put 9/11 in context with everything that happened on his watch.
Like the anthrax attacks on Congress and the press.
And everyone killed by the DC sniper.
Or 36,000 American casualties in Iraq.
Maybe the global financial meltdown.
Things like that.

I guess it’s the “My son was an ignorant moron” narrative that the elder Bush is embracing.
When you consider that just two months before ordering the invasion of Iraq W was unaware that there were two separate sects- Sunnis and Shiites- to be dealt with, it’s an easy sell.

“Trying to create a different narrative”? Doesn’t he mean “trying to pass the buck” so that Shrubya will appear to be competent at something other than committing war crimes and creating unmitigated disasters?
This crime family will go to any lengths to re-write history. Unfortunately for them, no matter how hard they might try turds cannot be polished.

Either Dumbya was “his own man” and made these moronic decisions all on his own.
Or,
He was the moronic puppet of Darth Cheney and Lord Rumsfeld.
Never forget that the genius HW greenlighted Saddam to invade Kuwait, then thew a fit when he did and created an imaginary Iraqi army that was poised to attack “our dear friends” in Saudi Arabia to justify sending in US troops.
The Bush Crime Family needs to stick with lower profile rip-offs, like Enron and Ignite!.
