Discussion for article #242395
Wow! Being able to speak his native language qualifies him to be president? That’s a pretty low bar he’s set for himself.
“Because I can complete a sentence in the English language pretty well”
That is the highest possible praise in the Bush family.
Bush, speaking to NBC “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd, said that he knows he has to improve.
“Look, I know that I got to get better at doing the debate. I’m a grind”
Aha!
If she said I :know I got" instead of" I know I have to" isn’t a good indication of a person who can string a sentence together properly - at least not in terms of grammar.
Very deep stuff coming from a guy who has been told most of his adult life that he was going to be President.
Ms. Thesaurus and Mr. Dictionary weep for Jeb.
Jeb wants to know, “Is our children learning?”
Actually, at this point, I just feel sorry, since clearly this is genetics.
But please, Bushes, stop running for President when you don’t have the intellect to handle it.
"Because I can complete a sentence in the English language pretty well…
Subtle dig at immigrants. Yes, you are learning. Now throw in a barb against the moderators and you’ll be well on your way.
Bingo, I was thinking the same thing. He “grinds” on my nerves.
How much longer before George tells Jebby! he can tend the rabbits?
Forget the debates Jeb!, they are trivial. What you need to get better at is being a competent, intelligent human being.
Should it disturb us that there are two grammatical errors in the statements he made while humblebragging about his command of the language? Or do we simply assume that he knows he has to get better, and jes’ got to use the other phrasing to connect with the common folk?
His campaign should be put on life support…but his family should not be allowed to pull the plug.
As time goes by I start to see that Jeb! is just a slightly more articulate version of GWB!
"Look, I know that I got to get better at doing the debate. I’m a grinder," Bush said. “Because I can complete a sentence in the English language pretty well, and I have ideas that will lift people up,” he continued.
That’s not very well-spoken, Mr. Bush. You, your brother and your father all went to some of the finest educational institutions the world has to offer. What happened?
"Look, I know that I got to get better at doing the debate." —Jeb Bush
Interviewer: “Have you ever Googled someone?”
George W. Bush: “Yes, I’ve used the Google.”
Tom Carvel was more articulate than George W. Bush.
(I can’t remember who said it, but someone once said New Jersey Governor Brendan Byrne’s speaking style sounded “like Tom Carvel in a coma.”)
Jeb! is on Grindr?!!
"“Look, I know that I got to get better at doing the debate. I’m a grinder,” Bush said. “I mean, when I see that I’m not doing something well then I reset and I get better.”
"Because I can complete a sentence in the English language pretty well, "
Jeeebus Fukin Christ. The Bushes are very wealthy, and certainly one of the most privileged families in the country. Can any of them bother to get an education? You know - one that includes grammar?
