It is now crucial that as a country we protect religious freedom and the right of conscience and also not discriminate…by legalizing discrimination against anyone who makes us uncomfortable

There…finished that quote for you jackass.

Too bad about that 14th amendment, Jeb!

You think a guy running for President would be familiar with the Constitution.

No, jackass, it was United States Supreme Court, which means they go by the Federal Constitution, which means you just got reamed today. Enjoy, assswipe.

It’s this constant notion that rights are a zero sum game, that just completely baffles me. Why are they so fearful that extending rights to one group, must in turn diminish their own rights? It doesn’t, it actually expands the strengths of everyone’s rights. If more people are getting married, doesn’t that make the constituency for marriage bigger…and therefore stronger? And don’t bother with “they are different”…I have yet to meet ANY couple that divides up their domestic routines, responsibilities, chores, etc exactly the same. EVERYONE is different.

I also believe that we should love our neighbor and respect others,
including those making lifetime commitments. In a country as diverse as ours, good people who have opposing views should be able to live side by side.

Nope, sorry JEB, the GOP base doesn’t want to “live side by side” with the “gheys”. They believe (even the ones with gay family members) that being gay is an immoral decision. You just stepped in a big sinkhole and it’s very possible you won’t be able to get out by general election time.

Your “state’s right” argument was dismantled in 1863 and Petersburg and Appomattox sealed the deal. That suggests it’s some weak-ass shit–as are you, Jeb!

“…slavery and women’s suffrage, too,” he added.

State’s rights? That has been settled. In 1865. Get over it. The United States Constitution applies to all, not just those you like.

I honestly do not know if the GOP realizes the patchwork of rules and laws are usually what drives there to be federal rules in the first place. They consider it one size fits all but generally the economy prefers not to have vastly different realities in each state.

Of course marriage is a HUGELY IMPORTANT FUNDAMENTAL THING so the question of whether everyone should have the right to it—hell, let’s just leave it up to the states, whatever, ya know?

See, Heb!, here’s the problem with that: It isn’t leadership. Leaders say “we can do better” and they’re usually just a bit braver than the herd, a bit more far-seeing. Obama was and is a leader. You’re just a groveling, pandering ass-kisser bucking for a promotion. There’s a difference.

The SCOTUS should have let the state of Florida count all the votes in 2000. If it had, your brother would never have become President.

Translation: “WAAAAAAAA! WAAAAAAA! There goes my only good campaign platform!”

“Jeb Bush: Justices Should Have Allowed States To Decide On Gay Marriage”

Pay attention Jebby, the 4 dissenters said it should be left to the states. Ergo marriage equality was gonna happen ya dufus.
