Discussion: Jeb Bush: My Brother's 9/11 Response Was 'Awe-Inspiring'

Discussion for article #242195

Yes, watching a person look dazed and confused while peeing their pants really is awe inspiring…

Bush would be much higher in the polls if he’d come out and say, “My brother was a fucking idiot, a true moron. He’s always been dumber than dirt you scrape off your shoe.”

…and then we went into Iraq where we found all those WMD, were greeted as liberators and made the world the safe stable place it is today.

Yeah, it was awe-inspiring how he sat there reading My Pet Goat and then arranging for the Bin Laden family to get out of the country, then fucked our liberties (our REAL liberties) with the “Patriot” Act after telling us to go out and spend, Spend, SPEND!!

And for the final topping on the Bullshit Cake, it was most awe-inspiring – wait, SHOCK-and-awe-inspiring – how we invaded the wrong country that didn’t attack us on 9/11!

Were you not awed?

WERE. YOU. NOT. AWED?

…agreed, but wasn’t “the flight of the Bin Laden” family proved to be false? I remember it from Moore’s movie, but I think I read later that it was shown to be not true.

Bush seemed competent enough with For Pol (even if I was for Gore) up until he started saber-rattling about Iraq, sure. “Awe-inspiring” is far too much. Obama’s been the only president in my (modest) lifetime that’s ever had “awe-inspiring” moments, imo, and he’s only had a few.

Perhaps I’m being a little intellectually irresponsible with that one, since I have never delved deeply into whether it was true or not. It sure seems ‘truthy’, being as the entire Bush family has been lip-locked with the Bin Ladens, minus Osama the black sheep, for many years.

Yes. They didn’t leave the country for a week. Some security arrangements were made for them quite quickly, but I do not think that is a bad thing. Whether it was for Bush’s family ties or not, he was correct there. People shouldn’t suffer for the actions of another, particularly a distant relative, and xenophobia was likely to (and did) peak.

I can agree with this because I have a friend, not even close to related to anyone involved and born in Michigan, who is Muslim and she was run off the road at the time by some lunatics because she wears a head scarf. The insanity.

He came out of the Bush Summit wit this plan: a noun, a verb, and “My brother…”

YEAH!!! RIGHT on El Jebe…

I was awestruck alright… watching W try to continue reading My Pet Goat, with that deer caught in the headlights look that he somehow managed to pass on to Dana Perino during her tenure as press secretary, was TRULY ‘awe-inspiring’ from the git go…

An elephant is an animal, ergo a small elephant is a small animal. Jeb! is smarter than his brother, ergo Jeb! is smart.

The proof will be in the donations…(and the polls)…

I think he means ‘shock and awe’ inspiring.
