Discussion for article #229328

That’s their way of trying rehab the family brand for George P. Both he and his old man are real threats.

I hope you are right. However, I worry a little because the Rs may consider him the most electable out of their current, crazy list of potential candidates.

This article said nothing. He’s seriously considering running, but is doing absolutely nothing to prepare to run. Perhaps the best indication of the likelihood of a Bush III campaign is the following latest poll:

Saturday, October 04
General Election: Bush vs. Clinton McClatchy/Marist Clinton 53, Bush 42 Clinton +11

But if he ran, it might be another act of love. He’s big on acts of love, evidently.

It would be fun watching a Bush and Mitt Romney tearing each other apart in a primary battle.

I don’t think beating Jeb Bush would be as easy as people think… He could win.

Yeh…

Short attention spans are an intended consequence among the voting base on the right… as well as allowing others to do their thinking for 'em.

Here we go, after 24 years Bush v. Clinton II…thrilling

We need a new federal amendment to the US Constitution: No more Bushes!!!

No Bush family congresscritters, no Bush Family governors, no Bush Family senators, no Bush Family mayors, …

The Bush Family has done more than enough damage to the USA to last the next 10,000 years (aka one more ice age)

Well at least they’ll have someone with a modicum of responsibility to drive the 2016 klown kar.

We definitely do not need another Bush in the White House. Political dynasties should be discouraged – vigorously. George W broke the country. I don’t care how much smarter Jeb is, he needs to find another way of “serving his country” as the Bush’s put their political goals. He would just be more of the same but craftier and that isn’t a happy prospect.

Barbara Bush declared last year there had been “enough Bushes” in the White House.

I concur.

Problem is being palatable to the general electorate will cost Jeb the support of the GOP base. The Republicans are best advised to spend the next year or so educating America that reality is whatever falls out of the candidates’ mouths.

Do you think the GOP will finally let W. appear at a national convention if his brother is the nominee?

He was banned from the last two.

Jeb can’t make the announcement without Sonny first twinkling his toes in the piranha pool. Doesn’t say much for popularity.

Jeb and his trusty AG waxed registrations of tens of thousands of likely Democratic voters, mere weeks before the 2000 election. He’ll likely get shredded in the press for that and wearing a Confederate lapel pin.
