Discussion for article #237319
WTF is Bush doing in Berlin? The podium signage says “Economic Affairs Council”- what the hell kind of advice or council can he provide us here in Deutschland? Especially since he is from for that shitty economic powerhouse of Florida. I doubt he would listen to what they might have to provide for guidance for the US (education and infrastructure spending, building manufacturing capability, the apprenticeship programs, gov’t/business partnerships)? Those are all an anathema to Republicans.
Looking forward to the Onion article about Bush finding his campaign manager on Grindr.
Jeb Bush: The weakness and inability to articulate a message of his father and the shear stupidity of his brother.
There’s a winning formula.
He’s over there giving speeches. Hopefully it will go over as well as Mitt’s Romneyshambles tour of England.
Jeb Bush visiting Germany is similar to Scott Walker who tried to tout his foreign policy credentials by saying he recently visited Israel and England. It’s merely another version of “you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.”
Who the hell would want to listen to him? I will watch the national news tonight in a bit - will report on whether anything was mentioned. I doubt it.
So this headline… all i could think was they hired a gay guy off a mobile app to run his campaign.
Cautionary example?
Pretty much exactly in line with what I said when this broke. Everyone is going to be shifting to their national strategy and away from their early state strategy because of the “top 10 polling” decision. Politico also has an article up today about NH republicans writing a letter to the RNC and Fox to reconsider that decision…because now nobody is paying any attention to NH, with the resulting loss of ad money.
Makes sense, so far his campaign staff seem more like sketchy hook-ups rather than someone to commit.
Germany dislikes him, and Berliners in particular because of his stupid brother and his war of choice which Germany refused to join. John Ellis is there to promote himself. He brings nothing of substance to this visit, and we won’t see 200,000 people turn out for him as they did for candidate Obama.
It’s for US consumption, I think.
I totally read that wrong. I thought this article was going to be WAY more fun.
“…so I decided to kind of split up the duties…”
So, slightly more like the dissembling father than the pitifully stupid, belligerent, overly-decisive brother, then. Good to know.
If Jeb is explaining, he’s losing.
Yes, US consumption. Just finished news and absolutely zero coverage. Nichts. Nada. Zippo.
