The true tell if this is extraordinary or not is to learn just how much they earned the prior few years. That comparison would tell us if the money is a sign of influence peddling by others or by them.

This is unprecedented, a presidents daughter monetizing her security clearance. Imagine if say a submarine commander while on duty wrote a manuscript and got a book deal. They would be court marshaled or at least reprimanded.

The justice department lawyer disingenuously uses Reagan’s pension as California governor and Obama’s book royalties as a comparison to Trump and his family using the presidency as a business entity. The pension and book royalties were earned before they sought the presidency. As opposed to the RNC and other political interests holding events in Trump’s properties and his daughter/advisor using the government to secure Chinese patents for her products.
We’ll never see the tax returns for any of them.
