At this point, I wonder if the longer he stays in without any path to victory; the more he pisses people off by making his campaign all about himself, the LESS Hillary will actually have to give him by the time the convention rolls around.

Agree and I for one am getting really really really pissed about the 5 year old/baby tantrum act.

It’s going to be tough on Jane. She should take up a hobby.

Hard to walk away from all that unconditional admiration that Sanders is getting from the crowds. This time last year Bernie was just a Senator from Vermont. Now he’s a freaking MESSIAH!

Jane Sanders is such an ass.

Never saw a political contest like this. The sore winners are doing their best to piss off anybody who might even think about voting for their candidate. Hillary’s supporters are doing their best to undermine their own candidate. But of course, when she loses the general they will not admit it’s their fault.

I wonder how “together” the Sanders are on their messaging? She doesn’t seem entirely credible in her statements. Is she a loose cannon? Hard to know.

Why not release the tax returns? I suspect they show the Sanders as landlords, given their multiple mortgages, and that kind of income doesn’t show up necessarily in the 1040 except as profit or loss, without making explicit where the income comes from…

I’ve heard she’s still into making patchouli-scented macrame houseplant hangers

@trajan So many not feeling the Bern.

Yet, signs of Mrs. Clinton’s strength in Pennsylvania were clear Tuesday morning. As Mr. Sanders crossed a street, a car full of Clinton supporters waved signs out of the windows shouting, “Hillary, Hillary.” Another man briskly walked past Mr. Sanders saying, “I’m voting for Hillary.”

Sanders is most certainly pissing me off. Now I wonder how I could ever have supported him at the beginning of the campaign. I even sent a couple of campaign contributions, and I want my money back.

I was going to say dressage horses but macrame works.

Jane, Bernie, Tad and Jeff need to coordinate their stories.

I just think you are seeing the dam breaking with pent up frustration because as it gets clearer Sanders does not have a path to the nomination, instead of moving towards a message of party unity, he just ups the character attacks. Here is the latest an example: http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2016/04/26/bernie-plays-trump-card-on-hillary.html
It makes us question what his end game is. Does he intend to actively help HRC defeat Trump or is he sending signals to his supporters to withhold HRC their support? Maybe he is trying to position himself to get concessions from her at the convention – but he could be doing this by focusing on his policy instead of further poisoning the well. Remember how we all always declared how we’d all support the eventual nominee? I am disappointed to see Sanders degrade his message and reputation – especially if he will not even try to help us prevent Trump by speaking honestly with his supporters that he really cannot win the nomination.

Basically, Devine is on the outs with regards to this, and has been since NY. He is still making the “fight to the end” pitch, but its pretty clear he sees the writing on the wall and knows its pointless.

Weaver and Jane however, are the ones closest to Bernie, and they have both been, “Burn the place to the ground, and all the people inside, too!” for quite awhile.

My read on the situation is…follow what Weaver and Jane are saying.

It’s going to be hard to adjust to not having millions of dollars coming in every day too. Heady stuff, that. $$$$$. Do you think as a Senator he could have/would have chartered a jet to take him to the Vatican for a 10 minute talk and a 3 minute (chance) meeting with the Pope? It’s gone to his head. And after Jane has put up with his behavior all these years, she’d like a little pocket money too. He will write a book, but I wonder how many millenials will buy it.

And he may very well be primaried. He deserves it.

May an ass, but definitely a mess.

Davey - I think your analysis is right. Weaver, and more recently Jane, seem to be everywhere. I hope this ends soon.

Bernie and his acolytes are suffering and they will say a lot of desperate and extreme things to try to stay relevant. They should be welcomed back into the fold.
