And these accusations of fraud, which is a felony – have they been proven in a court of law? Or just in the kangaroo court of the Daily Caller and NewsMax? Are you sure that’s really the standard you want to go by?
The entire"fraud" accusation, made by attorney and Fox News talking head Jonna Spilbor (one would think that might be a red flag right there!) hinges on a gift to the college being listed as a “donation” on a grant application, when it was really a “bequest.” OMG – Bequestgate!!!
You know, I don’t really have a problem with what Albright said. But, then again, I’m part of a generation when women had to support other women to get to where they are now. In some ways, it’s kinda like when White people say that everything should be “colorblind.” To Black and brown people.
Okay. Let me go there too. A good person doesn’t circulate photographs of a black candidate in African dress to a racist nation as Clinton’s campaign did. A good person doesn’t constantly deal in innuendoes about the other candidate’s pastor’s radicalism, a good person doesn’t jump on the Bill Ayers innuendo bandwagon either. And Clinton dealt in those innuendoes herself, it wasn’t some stupid staffer.
They have savaged Paul Krugman, Gloria Steinem and Madeleine Alright now. You can’t be a grownup woman with an opinion around the leftwing. Oddly it has always been this way. This campaign season is a remake of 1972 and the original rebellion my generation fostered and women got short shrift in that rebellion, too. It was the “Go make me a sandwich while me and the boys plan the revolution,” movement then and it’s the “shut up and go to a nursing home” revolution now
I will not vote if Bernie Sanders is nominated - I’m dead sick of what the left does to women. Been there, done this so many times now that if it’s going to be this way - forget it. I’m done trying.

The donations were overstated by the college in at least two cases that have been looked at. That is, the amounts that the donors listed on the documents were changed to higher amounts before being submitted to the bank.
It was of enough concern that the college fired her.
If I give you a document saying I am donating $100 because I think you are a great guy and believe in your work, and you take that document and add a few zeros in order to get a loan based on that income, is that not fraud?
And the story I linked isn’t from Daily Caller or NewsMax. Its from the local Vermont news station. But you keep on with attacking the messenger.
So lets keep a perspective. Bernie has been implying for months now that Hillary is corrupt for taking speaking fees from Goldman Sachs, even though there is no actual evidence of her changing a single vote.
But when actual documents are brought forth showing Ms. Sanders actually did commit fraud, its not worth discussing.
This election isn’t just about the next 4 or 8 years. Ruth Bader Ginsburg turns 83 in March and on Inauguration Day she will be almost 84. Unless she is some type of cyborg, there is a very good possibility that the next POTUS will have to choose her successor on the Supreme Court. Which is why this HRC supporter will vote for Sanders if he is our nominee.
But Sanders supporters are divisive, right? He himself called for unity and standing with whoever is the candidate in New Hampshire.
Really? Is that anything like the slander the EmoProgs like yourself did in 2008 charging that the Clintons are racist?
I remember being for Gene McCarthy. I wasn’t old enough to vote but he was the second brightest guy in Washington, next to Barry Goldwater, according to most Senators at the time, and Gene had so many of the right sentiments regarding our resistance to the Viet Nam war and the class warfare exhibited by the way we drafted the poor and deferred the privileged.
The young 20 somethings then were coming home in wheelchairs and with wrecked minds because of the war and they didn’t have a choice. Democratic and Republican presidents sent them there. That was tension and Gene was going to make that right for everyone. He didn’t make it. We suffered.
And 20 years of Nixon-Ford-Reagan-Bush before we got Bill Clinton will make you wonder about just throwing something against the wall to see if it sticks, if you know what I mean.

I keep hearing about Sanders supporters who won’t vote for the D nominee if it’s Clinton, but the only thing I actually find are people like you and Xyxox who won’t vote D if Sanders is elected.

If Sanders is our nominee, he WON"T get elected and we end up with a Rethug POTUS. The country, as a whole, won’t elect Sanders POTUS.
Meanwhile, Bernie’s wife, who has freely entered the public surrogate arena with the comments in this article…committed fraud just a few years back. Fraud that got her fired as head of the college.
And in THIS election cycle, Bernie’s campaign has been caught breaking into the DNC database to go through Hillary’s voters files, of impersonating union leadership to lie to union members, of forging letterhead from at least 3 different organizations, claiming endorsements that don’t exist, in fundraising and pleas for votes to those organizations members. One of which, the League of Conservation Voters, not only didn’t endorse Bernie…they endorsed Hillary!!
And Hillary’s campaign has bent over backwards not saying a single word about this pattern of fraud. And when ever its brought up, the Sanders folks do precisely what you are doing…try to shout it down by accusations of how evil she was in 2008…so evil in fact, that Obama chose her as his SoS after the election. And has indicated he supports her now in this election cycle.
Sorry, but its not Hillary that needs a bath this time around, its Bernie.

Nonsense. Bernie continues to issue the veiled threat…“I am bringing new people into the Democratic primaries…vote for me, or they all disappear in the General”. Hardly a message of inclusion.
I can’t reply to the two comments downstream that replied to me. I have no interest in fighting but let me be clear - I’ve voted in every election since 1972 when I was 21, barely, by a month. I am so not ashamed of not voting for Bernie Sanders that y’all can save the outrage.
I’m not. I’ve been one hell of a good Democrat - lots of money and time and work and I did it again for Obama during his entire administration. Always voted, volunteered, worked hard. Bernie isn’t even a Democrat.

According to Brady Toensing, vice-chair of the Republican party in Vermont. The actual church says otherwise:
Bishop Christopher Coyne, however, says the harm to which Toensing refers does not exist. And he says the church wants no part in any political grudge match.
“We don’t obviously want to get involved in any political battle involving presidential candidates,” Coyne said Monday afternoon. “We’re not pushing this at all. We’re satisfied with the outcome (of the sale to Burlington College).”
Coyne says an appraisal of the property prior to the sale yielded a $6 million valuation.
“At the time, we were very satisfied with the $10 million purchase price on a property that was assessed … at $6 million. So the offer from Burlington College was about $4 million more than the property was worth,” says Coyne, who was not bishop at the time of the transaction.
A portion of that purchase price was structured in the form of a $3.65 million loan from the diocese to the college. In August of 2014, the college defaulted on that loan. Under the terms of a settlement, the diocese ended up losing somewhere between $1.5 million and $2 million off the original purchase price, according to reporting by VTDigger.
Coyne, however, says that’s still more than the property was appraised at.
“We’re very satisfied with the outcome at the end, even though we didn’t receive the full $10 million,” Coyne says of the settlement. “We walked away with a pretty good price, and at this point we’re not interested in pursuing any further matter in this.”
Coyne said Toensing didn’t reach out to him, or any other employee or agent of the diocese, prior to filing the complaint alleging harm to the church.
Disappointing to see (some) Hillary supporters engaged in this kind of disinformation campaign against Jane Sanders. And really something to see this mud being slung in response to Jane’s very mild and entirely appropriate criticism of Allbright’s “unfortunate” remarks, and Jane’s very generous attitude toward Steinem’s offensive remarks.
But, you know, keep attacking Jane Sanders with sleazy right-wing accusations – I’m sure that will really help Hillary’s cause a lot.
