Discussion: Jackson Considers Withdrawing As VA Nominee As New Allegations Surface

Well, he’s not the best nominee Trump picked… or wait—maybe he is!
I think he should stick it out.

It seems he’s done about everything but that.

How much does Trump hate our veterans to have nominated this guy to head the VA?

But first, he needs a drink.

And I had just ordered popcorn for the hearings.

He should also resign from his current position. Can’t he be court marshaled?

You have to marvel at the egotism and blind ignorance of this nominee and other incompetents in the Trump swamp
What part of "Under the Microscope " do these people (including Trump) not get.
This after what you put Obama and everyone associated with him through during the course of his public life.
Every rock overturned in a desperate search for a whiff of scandal.
What makes you assholes think you are any different .
The nerve
The unmitigated gall

So Trump thinks maybe Jackson should withdraw before things get worse?

Not exactly. Jackson or no Jackson, on this train it’s poop all the way down.

Trump just does want to take another physical if Jackson is disqualified.

I’m also ready to make a bet that information calling the results of Trump’s physical into question will come to light in the next few days.

“The White House defended Jackson …insisting that he had been properly vetted by the administration.”

The larger story is the entire Trump administration is staffed by people similarly "properly vetted".

From the photo of him next to Obama, it appears that Trump isn’t even 6’1.

“Jackson denied the allegation that he crashed a government vehicle while drunk on Wednesday evening”

He crashed LAST NIGHT? He was drunk LAST NIGHT?

Or did he deny that he crashed a government vehicle last night? Or that he was drunk when he did it?

Hint to reporters: Buy a copy of Stunk & White’s style manual, and read it. (I prefer Fowler’s, but it’s less modern.)

Frightening, isn’t it?

Given the nature of the allegations, the investigation must continue, even if he does withdraw. If even half of the allegations are true, he isn’t fit to practice medicine at any level of government service–executive, military, or any other. A person who can’t manage an office the size of the one he is currently in, he–and this is just a guess–might not be able to manage the VA.

@fraufeix

Kind of makes you wonder if there was a Quid Pro Quo for the good physical.
I couldn’t imagine Trump paying someone off /s

I still want to know the story behind him keeping his job after the report in 2012.

Edited to add: you just know once the nomination is withdrawn the House will jump on oversight of that instead of anything since.

Who provides medical care for the Sectet Security staff on duty at the White House?

We know that Jackson provided pills to those traveling with the President.

I’m wondering whether any of those rather odd lapses in judgment by the Secret Service over the last decade had anything to do with this guy’s ministrations.
