Discussion: It's On: Trump Releases Details About Rival Event To Fox News Debate

Somebody give me my propers! I called this last night. I said he’d try to bigfoot the debate by holding his own event that the other networks would cover thus giving him the stage and all the attention. I was right* (for once)!

*Does not include my prediction that Dems would do well in 2014 or that I’d never have to utter the phrase “Governor Bevin”. Also, was completely wrong about Grimes, Microsoft’s Zune, Apple products, Beta, VHS, CDs…

How does Trump think he’ll win in Nov if he disses Fox?

Details???

How long can it be till the announcement that he will run as an independent? If only they had treated him “fairly”.

So, wrong about everything basically?

That’s highly unlikely. Been here two days and spouting a Trump line of talking points. I smell a sock puppet.

That would be a perfect ending to a story about the end of the Republican Party as we’ve known it.

They brought this on themselves. But it’s sad.

There is absolutely no way that would ever happen because FOX Entertainment and the RNC have worked so closely, symbiotically, over the years. Today’s version of the GOP owe their existence to Murdoch and Ailes.

Trump’s decision is a stroke of strategic brilliance. I would never vote for him. But his re-writing of the Presidential playbook is nothing short of genius. Those who mock the man do so at their psychological peril. Trump is one of the few Presidential candidates of either party whom I can recall that maintained, indeed enhanced his lead, from day one to Iowa and beyond. It is not out of the question that he may win every primary and caucus.

Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s campaign manager, told the Washington Post the campaign has invited “all major networks” to carry the event live.

Sigh. It would be hilarious and fantastic if they were to decline the invitation. Instead, they all will be there waggin their tails happily…

Of course. He went after Megyn Kelly, who was a surprise that night, and now tries to offer some lame story about the “bleeding comment.”

Right.

He also completely agrees with me.

Touching.

As do I. MDavison, you’re offering a series of baseless assumptions and assertions masquerading as self-evidently true things. None of it adds up. And it’s completely at odds with everything we know about the situation. And most of all, no matter what else she ever did or ever will do, Kelly’s reading him those quotes and asking about his temperament was completely legitimate. His reaction was outrageous, not “charitable.” There’s simply no argument about that that any fair-minded person would offer. Something’s wrong here, like DJ says.

Wow haha…looks like I’m gonna be wrong on this one, and he’s actually going to go through with his threat. I actually dunno which would be better…being right about it all just being kabuki theater or being wrong and having this actually happen LOL. FUCKING. HILARIOUS.

However, I still won’t be surprised if we hear at 4pm tomorrow that they’ve kissed and made up and he’s decided to go to the debate after all.

All I could find could on the topic was that she was suffering from severe nausea due to possible food poisoning. There was nothing about bleeding as a symptom of her condition.

Because we all know what a nice guy he is to the press…especially if he gets his way. Sadly, they’ll all pick up on covering him in full too, just like they always have, no matter what the fuck he does. All the networks live off his antics, and they feed off his outrageousness…

The mainstream media’s narrative seems to be that no matter what he does, he pays no consequence and “this will only make tRump stronger”. They decided from the beginning that they didn’t want to be the target of his insults and just went along with him.

She went on vacation, you moron. Your “I seem to recall” and “people are suggesting” type nonsense is a red flag to anyone with a brain in their head that you’re a sockpuppet troll for Derpy-D…and a boring, ineffectual one at that.

It’s unfortunate you lack the mental acumen to recognize that nobody is going to fall for attempts to de-couple the GOP/Teatrolls/RNC from Faux News. They are conjoined at their racist, white supremacist, sexist, homophobic, religio-fascist dick tips so thoroughly that not even Ben Carson could separate them.

Trump, not Kelly, is the one running for president. This is a job interview and he is responsible for showing us how he behaves under pressure and how he reacts in less-than-ideal situations. Right now he’s not looking too good…
