Trump’s decision is a stroke of strategic brilliance. I would never vote for him. But his re-writing of the Presidential playbook is nothing short of genius. Those who mock the man do so at their psychological peril. Trump is one of the few Presidential candidates of either party whom I can recall that maintained, indeed enhanced his lead, from day one to Iowa and beyond. It is not out of the question that he may win every primary and caucus.

And most of all, no matter what else she ever did or ever will do, Kelly’s reading him those quotes and asking about his temperament was completely legitimate.
