Discussion: It's Not Me, It's You: John Kelly Lectures The Press To 'Get Better Sources'

I wonder if he’s one of the sources and worried trump suspects him so he’s doing this to throw him off the track.

Get better sources.

And then tell us who they are.

So we can punish them for leaking.

//RON (Rant On)

Consider the continual failure to provide substantive information when questions are asked coupled with the near immediate and constant demonization of the free press and media. And then you lecture them?

General, you want to scold these people when your boss is attempting to create a meme of shutting down the 1st amendment?

Hell at this point, your boss is capable of shutting down civilization as we know it. The stakes are higher than any I can think of, even during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Get better sources? Well they certainly can’t get good above board sources like, well the §resident and staff to provide real information. So you have them on that one.

Remember the good old days when we argued over the transparency of the Bush White House?

I know this is a meaningless rant, never to be seen past this site, but General, this is highly irregular and you know it!

Modern answer: Kelly complains about leaks, but he ignores that his boss retweeted that Fox story.

Kelly whines about folks having a betting pool about when he’s getting tossed, but he fails to see that these stories are coming from ‘45’'s own party (n possibly Trump’s own staff).

Referencing that Oisin story, there seems (?) to be two realities at play here: Trump’s n what’s actually happening.

The problem with either is there’s a 99% likelihood that Trump’s reality is straight up garbage and seeing how McConnell n Ryan are cool with that…

The problem then is, how much of the non Trump reality is worse?

It’s not surprising that what the White House press corps writes contradicts what Kelly hears on Fox & Friends when he’s baby sitting DT, but it’s disappointing that Kelly thinks the solution is for the press to get better sources.

Kelly also noted that “Congress has been frustrating” to the President.“Of course, our government is designed to be slow, and it is,” he said.
…
That’s not the only reason General. When your boss verbally attacks members of Congress and calls them all sorts of names you shouldn’t expect that they will work with you. Your boss can’t fire them and he needs to frigging grow up.

And it would be helpful if someone explained the Constitution and the amendments to him.

“I’m a reasonable guy,” he continued. “But when I read in the morning, I read — I won’t tell you what I read, but when I watch TV in the morning, it’s astounding to me how much is misreported.”

“For example, you reported that i called the President a moron. That is not true. You then attempt to report that i actually called the President a fucking moron. That is also not the truth. What your “source” for my quote got wrong is that, in reality, at that time, my reference to the President is that he is a goddamned scum-sucking, feeble-brained retard and a fucking moron who thinks the oval office is the name of his toilet. So, if you’re going to do your jobs properly, report the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.”

Bullsht! Now Kelly is enabling and covering for this fcking moron Trump.
Kelly should be ashamed of himself for the harm he is doing to us and our country!
Shame on him. Kelly has turned into a disgrace and has lost all credibility.

He probably could, but those three or four things would just reveal the 30 or 40 dozen they’ve gotten right.

Dee-plor-uh-bulls.

Now if he’d have made fun of fat toothless white women churning babies out in rundown trailer parks, it might have cost him. No one wants their mothers described accurately.

Considering Trump arranged with Pence a cheap stunt ahead of time, including the expense, I can easily see Trump or his earwig Miller insisting the General step out and handle things this way. After the NFL stunt, everything coming from the White House is suspect to be layered with subterfuge and frivolousness.

I am not sure if they understood this would sink their veracity to less than zero angels. Or maybe they do not care. But they are doing a good job of taking down good people as they do sink.

And Dommyluc lectures John Kelly to “Go Fuck Yourself”.
You work for a guy who gets his facts and opinions from FoxNews, Breitbart, and InfoWars. You don’t get to lecture anyone about the quality of their sources, motherfucker. I doubt if any of the reporters at the WAPO or NYT (well, except David Brooks) Tweet the first thing that comes into their heads while taking a dump at 6 AM and tries to pass it off as factual news.

That last line is a keeper for the ages.

“I won’t tell you what I read.”
Why not, General Disarray (H/T: South Park)? What, were you on PornHub or something and you don’t want Goodwife Kelly to find out about it? Were you reading a transcript of “Two Girls And A Cup” or something?
If you’ve got proof of someone misreporting information, then point it out, you lying piece of shit.

So John Kelly, are you sometimes an unnamed source?
“Nah, I got me a book deal that requires me to save all I’ve got to say for that. Actually, it looks like there will be an entire volume for each month on the job. Lotsa material there, you know.”

I’m sure others have said this, but if anyone is under the illusion that this is a Good Guy and he’s working heroically behind the scenes, that’s obviously bullshit.

I have no sympathy for him or Mattis or all the other alleged Good Guys who are supposed to be saving us from perdition. The MediaWhores will no doubt post glowing pieces about them once this horror show is over, and publishers will pay a fine mint to get their memoirs. This sickness does not have a cure.
