Is it wrong that I’m smiling bigly?
What came to my mind with their ‘Red Win’ slogan?
Better dead than Red.
Sad, low-energy finances. Bad news (or sick)!
For some reason I don’t buy it. Unless Trump is sucking up all the donations himself. But it doesn’t make sense with a president who is like 90% approval with the base.
Well they do have a new logo
What do you expect with Tom Emmer (R-MN Evangelicals) running it?
The guy is a moronic bible-thumper from the Twin-Cities Northern Exurbs-trailer-park hinterlands of Minnesota (formerly Michelle Bachmann’s stomping grounds.)
On top of that, ALL the Conservative Big Money Donors (Mercers, Kochs, etc.) are pouring their donations into the NRSC to hold the Republican Senate and keep their massive Tax Breaks in place.
They know they don’t stand a chance of taking back the House and want to put their money where it will do the most good.
Add to that Cheatolini hoovering up the Foreign Donor money that used to come in via the SuperPACs and you have a “perfect storm” of poverty over at the NRCC, left to try to subsist on the crumbs falling from the President’s and the Senate’s tables.
“It’s a disaster what is going on across the street at NRCC,” one GOP lawmaker told Politico. “Their communication is bad. Some of the stuff is bizarrely overly aggressive. They’re not raising the money. They don’t have buy-in from members. And it’s getting worse.”
I live in deep deep red East TN. The NRCC should not need to spend a dime around here as anyone with an ® is virtually guaranteed the win. However, the browser has been swamped by ads from them, so they are spending, spending, spending. As far as I’m concerned, let them, spend it where it is not needed, then spend, some more.
For some reason, they called me, dyed-in-the-wool, staunch Democrat. I normally don’t even pick up the phone for these types of calls, but this time, I picked it up and ripped them a new one. Fun times!
Thoughts and prayers (that it continues).
Here in Minnesota I have been called 3 times in the last month with Push-Polling about Trump and Republicans.
I get questions like: “Do you agree that President Trump has done a good job in protecting America from illegal-immigrant criminals?” (particularly hilarious here in 80% White MN.)
I always get my say and give them both barrels of Liberal 00 buckshot, leaving them stammering and apologizing for calling me.
Then someone else calls me again 2 hours later to ask the same questions…
That’s life when you are an over 60 White Male in a state that the Republicans actually think they can win in 2020 (not a snowballs chance in hell.)
The other big problem for the House Republicans: impeachment is getting more popular including in battleground states.
I wouldn’t shed any tears. They’ll be awash in Rubles from Papa Putin, conveniently funneled through team Trump, come election time. If Trump is willing to accept foreign dirt, I find it doubtful he’s turn down foreign cash.
This came to my mind:

Excellent point.
I hear Impeachment comin’
It’s rollin’ round the bend,
And I ain’t heard the Turtle since,
I don’t know when…
Is it wrong of me to wish them the same success that Obamacare had when first rolled out? And add a dash of hackery.
I quickly read it as Red Wing (Shoes).
Appealing to the Poorly Red?
I live in a red county in Texas. For some reason I’m on the mailing list for Trump. I keep getting ‘official’ looking ballots, and census looking envelopes that INSIST I fill out the form.
It’s a push poll - with a near DEMAND for a check at the end, if I want my votes to count.
Appalling, but it might work on the retirees main-lining fox all day.
Some Republicans are starting to panic about their chances of winning back the House — especially without a fundraising apparatus to match the Democrats’ ActBlue
Republicans have dreamed up “Win Red” to compete with ActBlue
I humbly suggest “Suck Orange”
