Discussion for article #233533
Issa’s ignorance of the constitution is nearly as great as his belief in his knowledge of it.
Hey look, another crook attempting to smear Obama.
Darrell, aren’t there any cars to be stolen, or warehouses to be torched?
Gee, with all of these Repubs blabbering this nonsense, once can only conclude that they are fond of self-immolation. They are delusional in thinking most people won’t see through their pathetic display.
Oh, Darrell…you’re still upset because you still haven’t found a single iota of evidence that Obama broke any law or committed any crime. In fact, I would say that you’re unpatriotic for going on a commie hunt and squandering billions.
I think Obama views the US differently than you do too. He treats the citizens as adults, whereas you and the other Republicans treat them like children who need to be told when to eat, when to sleep, and when to keep their moufs shut.
So yeah, you got that part right.
Who do we thank for exposing Issa’s own record of being someone he does not appear to be? – “Don’t Look Back” re his history of car theft and what one fire investigator believed was insurance fraud-arson, New Yorker 1/24/11, LA Times, 7/30/03 (Record does not support Issa’s claims).
Things Republicans believe: Obama doesn’t think the Supreme Court is important.
The stupidity and sheer banality of this ridiculous twisting of reality leaves me speechless.
They aren’t just stupid. They’re evil at this point.
Stupid evil little gnomes rule the GOP.
Why isn’t this asshole in prison?
This from a car thief and arsonist
Issa the crook.
Is there anything Josh Marshall won’t publish on this gossip rag?
EDIT:
Please excuse my sophomoric outburst. Let me rephrase:
TPM: All The Unimportant News That’s Fit To Print.
They are really crawling out from under the rocks now. Keep it up guys! YOUR patriotism is showing.
Then why are YOU here?
ISSA is a slimy car theft and arsonist -check his bio!
Their derangement is severe. Even now, when the president is no longer running for office, they fire off reptilian brain barrages to get likes from their determined fools.
Am in definite agreement with Issa that we should thank Rudy Giuliani for questioning Barack Obama’s patriotism. But for different reasons
For me, it provides yet another opportunity for highlighting the Republican Party as an increasingly regional and ineffective entity in Presidential elections.
The very people for whom Darrell Issa’s words make sense are those who, of course, trot out to the voting booth in Congressional and local elections; however, the next election happens to feature the Presidency.
I so wish that we will one day be able to exist without the idiotic ramblings on the right, but unfortunately, it’s not to be. The hate, and petty character assassination, and such are symptoms of frustration that comes from knowing they have nothing to offer that can logically compete with liberal policies. (For the most part.)
What would change if he called it “Islamic Terrorism”? In so far as ISIS is concerned not a damn thing. I don’t think a change in language is going to have much of an effect on them. It might give some credibility to their bogus claim of being guided by Allah. In other words it might help them out a bit.
Just about every thinking person understands dragging the Religion of Islam into this mess isn’t going to help. It’s going to hurt. That’s why Osama bin Laden was so concerned about the language Obama used. He knew the shift from the Bush rhetoric associating terrorism with Islam to that of Obama’s associating it with marauding thuggery was a problem. He wanted it associated with Islam so he could use that as cover.
If there is one thing that keeps the USA from achieving success in beating terrorism it’s stupidity. Stupidity just like that Rep. Issa is demonstrating in his remarks above. If we are going to get anything done in an asymmetric battle we had best be 100 % united. We should use everything we have to hammer ISIS, not each other. If Issa was a soldier and took swipes like that at another member of his squad or platoon he’d be out of there and in the brig.
Remember a few years back when any criticism of Bush was tantamount to treason as it was “emboldening the enemy” ? If you were an ISIS dude what would you think of Walker’s, Jindal’s, Giuliani’s or Issa’s remarks. I doubt you would be emboldened by it but I’ll bet it would put a smile on your face.
Have any of these repugs blubbering about patriotism and love of country, yada, yada, yada, ever actually served in the military? Surely zealots like these were eager to fight for their country to show their true bona fides. But I err, a flag pin in your lapel is all a true blue patriotic RWNJ needs.
