I’m not whining about Avenatti. I’ve been an avid fan and still am, and I don’t like the way so many people poo poo him either. Publicity hound, etc etc.
But I still don’t see him running for president (which as you know he mentioned doing), and I don’t think I’d want to see him as an official mouthpiece for Democratic party initiatives either. Again, I have no problems with him running for something. I also said at one point he’d be a great replacement for Anthony Weiner and I meant it.
He just isn’t the Great White Hope to me. But I don’t expect he really is to you either. So we’re on the same page.
I too blanch a little when I hear of him running for office. He could be so much more effective and long-lived as an operative. The Dems need other organizations to partner with. News orgs and journalists, along with our D politicians, are the only two tools we have. The Rs gave up on journalism long ago. Along with facts, decency, and cogent arguments. But they instead mobilized a huge array of other operatives and PR trickerly, fake news organizations, Federalist Society, Judicial blankety blank Watch, and a ton of even looser federated ratfuckers. They did all this with no science, no facts, sleaze and shit. Imagine what we could do with real facts, real science, real common sense, real results (Ds clean up messes, balance budgets, govern responsibly, keep the trains running and the lights on, etc).
Journalism and D politicians can only do so much. They are handcuffed in many ways by their ethics, newsorgs policies, and parliamentary procedures. Rs do not leave their projects to chance or in the hands of a couple of reporters.
The NYT or WP cannot decide they are going to hammer an issue. Or organize a march. Or continually call out or demonstrate against a flagrantly illegal ongoing crime, nor BRING SUIT for crimes or advocate for victims.
3 or 4 proposals from the Israeli team suggest to me they were bidding for work. Normal business. So actually they were in a competitive bid phase against another company or companies, don’t ya’ think? Anyone know of companies like this in your region? That is, companies that use this stuff or the cats who make this shit up and sell to the highest bidder. Hmmmm, speaking of bidders (Gates) I bet money was no real object because the bidder had plenty coin bigly. That would be Putin. The dingbat in the middle is orange man. Don’t worry folks, we are at the point where the bidder’s backer, Putin, is unmasked. The real shooting begins shortly…
