Discussion for article #225517

Clearly its the schoolchildren’s own fault for voting for Hamas.

Oh, wait…

Petulant religious zealots on both sides armed with weapons of death - “but you hit me first, no, you hit me first” - and no leader on either side with the courage to say “enough, it does not matter who hit who first, what matters is that we put an end to this madness, sit down together and work this out, even if it takes years, but enough killing.” Guess it will go on until they figure out that more money can be made in peace rather than in war. It is ALWAYS about the Benjamins.

Could you imagine if the Palastenian’s were bombing Isreali schools and hospitals?

This is outrageous. This was no mistake! The UN group and sent their location to Israel attempting to set up an exit strategy. Israel had a faster plan - let’s just kill innocent women and children via bombs.

Utter disgust.

One Palestinian child killed per hour by the IDF:

¨…(S)ome 75% of Palestinians killed in this round of fighting have been children, women and non-combatant men. About 147 children have been killed by Israel; only a couple dozen Hamas fighters have been. Thousands of non-combatants have been wounded by indiscriminate shelling and air strikes, as well.¨

If the Palestinians had their own viable state and the military capability, no, I could not imagine them doing so. Nor could I imagine the government of Israel do it to an equally armed opponent.

There are no non-combatants among the casualties. Everyone is an anti-Semite and an existential enemy of Israel, or will grow up to be one.

Besides, Hamas rockets falling short killed them.

They would have, had they grown up. That’s justification enough.

In any case, we do not target U.N. facilities," military spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said.

Hogwash.

Israelis ignored repeated warnings before killing UN observers

Of course, they have to say that, because doing so is a war crime.

Those children were in the “pre-terrorist” stage of development. And Israel has a One Percent Solution for them.

Your BBC link has a good map of the new “buffer zone” Israel is creating in Gaza.

In one of the worlds most congested places, Israel has now reduced the area where Gazans can live and produce food by half. It is simply not workable and will create an international firestorm.

Israel continues it’s fight to be ranked the #1 Terrorist Nation State on Earth. Perhaps they will get into the Guinness book soon?

The only way to stop a bad terrorist nation state with nuclear weapons is a good terrorist nation state with nuclear weapons.

The only way out I see is for the US to agree to UN occupation of Gaza.

I was just looking at the UN’s situation report for today. There have now been 116 schools damaged, 18 medical facilities hit . There are 140,000 displaced people. 86,000 are sheltering at UN facilities. Their water supplies are running out and the UN reports they are now rationing water to 3 liters per day. I nearly forgot, the UN says Israel hit Gaza’s only power plant with 2 missiles and power is down to a couple of hours per day.

And, the UN confirms, Israel has now placed 44% of Gaza into the buffer zone.

Where have you been since Hamas came to power and has been routinely sending missiles over the border aimed at civilian centers in Israel, including one that hit near a school just this week? This has been going on for years with the school children of Sderot and other towns in the south of Israel living in fear of missiles. If not for Israel’s missile defense, the civilian casualties on the Israeli side would be higher right now. Israeli troops would not be in Gaza now but for the missiles and tunnels of Hamas. Oh, but they are Jews so don’t count for you. It’s time for both sides to stop but Hamas continues to reject a ceasefire unless they get all their demands met.
