Discussion: Israel Bombards Southern Gaza As It Searches For Soldier

Discussion for article #225872

Wow. The AP sure is invested in promoting the Likud point of view.

“Israel launched an aerial offensive on July 8 to stop unrelenting Gaza rocket fire toward its cities and communities and later expanded it to a ground offensive mostly aimed at destroying an elaborate Hamas cross-border tunnel network used for attacks inside Israel.”

The only attacks launched from the tunnels have been against IDF military operations. Before Protective Edge started, there were no tunnel incursions into Israel since the capture of soldier Gilad Shalit.

I feel sorry for the family of Lt. Hadar Goldin. Sorry folks–the IDF isn’t trying to find Lt. Goldin. They’re trying to kill him. He committed the mortal sin of getting captured. Netanyahu considered that politically inconvenient, so Lt. Goldin is facing the death penalty from IDF bombs and rockets.

Along with scores of collateral Gaza civilians.

Two sides involved in conflict and we are only getting one side, but I tell you the journalist covering this conflict will never ever be the same
for they are the ones who are really seeing the carnage, and it comes through with a lot of the reporting,no matter how this thing is being spun,IMHO.

No evidence, whatsoever, that Goldin was captured.
