“We the Court hereby find that executive orders are bad, and not to be used.”*

*applies only when there is a black LIBRUL in the Whites House

Was gonna say… they must be pretty sure Hillary will win cause this would be a real downer for the next Republican president.

Let’s see: Reagan and Bush both issued far more executive orders than President Obama.
Gee, what is fundamentally different between the former two and the later?

There seems to be an overwhelming number of issues that our country needs to deal with, from police abuse to climate change; yet conservatives on SCOTUS or in Congress can’t seem to see anything beyond the color of the President’s skin.

After we kick Trump to the curb, where he belongs with the other gutter trash, we’re going to unleash our brand of judicial activism for a few generations, just like conservatives have done. Of course, that will be after we sue every Republican executive for failing to enforce environmental, gun, banking, and civil rights laws.

Better question, is the Supreme Court really supreme, the best of the best of the best?
Answer, roughly 47% to 3/5ths aren’t.

Real quick like, President Obama ought to issue EO’s that block the SC from blocking him, just like the way Repub state governors do in Kansas and Michigan.
Throw some states rights horseshit right back in their pusillanimous pusses.

Well, since the Roberts Court has shown they don’t care about Stare Decisis (which makes Roberts a categorical liar, since he insisted that he did…), I’m sure they’ll rule against Obama on executive action, but then promptly reverse that if a Republican is elected.

A conservative branch of government overreaching? Surely you jest…

Funny. SCOTUS didn’t question Dumbya/Cheney/Gonzo’s “Unitary Executive” theory of the Presidency…

Good grief ! If you think this Court is bad, Wait until you see it after a President Teabagger gets his nominations thru a Republican Senate.

The ruling will be re-redefined once a white man is again in the White House.

Under normal circumstances I would tell these swine ‘be careful what you wish for’ and that this would hinder Republican office holders as well but we all know precedence only holds for Democratic officeholders. It especially holds true for NI@@ER officeholders.

While I agree, I’d like to point out that they will likely be just as bad to Hilary. She’s a woman and a Clinton after all.

The Court will rule that the extent of a President’s executive authority depends on how uppity he is. As a preemptive move, it will probably also rule that female presidents are not provided for by the Constitution.

can we have the related discussion of WHY obama even had to take executive action on this and other issues? like, because the legislative branch has completely ignored/abdicated its responsibility to legislate?

i mean, doesn’t the Constitution charge the legislative branch with doing something other than bringing snowballs onto the floor to prove science is fake, or blocking all legislation whatsoever?

It will be interesting to see how Scalia-Thomas, Roberts, and Alito bend themselves over backwards to say that the limits on executive powers are only applicable to the uppity one at 1600 Penn, and no other POTUS

“(The President) is instructed therein by the declaration “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed” made in Article II, Section 3, Clause 5 or face impeachment.”
No room for mischief there, eh Scalia?
