Duh, of course it is backfiring. Republicans don’t want to talk about the memo. Democrats are crowing about how the memo highlights how the origins of the Russia investigation have nothing to do with the dossier.

Nunes has proven himself to be a dunce, utterly incapable of following the dots.

I know this is a not-very-important aside, but I always thought it was revealing that Nunes incorrectly pronounces his name ‘noons.’ He is of Portuguese descent, the name is pronounced ‘noon Ehs.’
