I feel bad for him; it appears this is certainly a kangaroo court merely looking for ransom. That said: why so very many recently naturalized US citizens insist on returning to their countries of origin where they are always more likely to be questioned about this sort of thing, amazes me. I guess it doesn’t amaze me; it’s a natural enough response. However it’s something I think you have to accept puts you at exceptional risk when you choose to do it.
