“…told local reporters that 41 felons had cast ballots in the 2016 election …”

I’ve never understood why convicted felons who have served their time shouldn’t be able to vote. Your sentence is supposed to be over at the time of your release.

Straight-ticket voting is definitely fraudulent. I can see why it should be banned,

Oh, wait…

I think the more pertinent question should be how many of those felons were Republican office-holders.

Iowa has voted Democrat in 6 of the last 8 Presidential elections.

Why is the correction of the information limited to an internal communication? How’re the citizens of the State supposed to know that this stuff is a lie when the correction isn’t published in a public forum?

In other Iowa news:
Two major insurers said this week that they wouldn’t sell insurance in Iowa’s Obamacare marketplace, both citing concerns about the current uncertainty around the health law’s future. This means that 94 of Iowa’s 99 counties will have just one insurer selling on Healthcare.gov when open enrollment starts in November.

Why is Iowa pursuing voter restrictions, they’re no brown people there?

This is, depressingly, par for the course with the IA Gop. Demagoging, exaggerating, flat-out-liars. So far the regrssive squad in Des Moines has restricted collective bargaining, cut education, and passed stand-your-ground BS. Voter Id will come next, and afterwards watch the votes from all the state university towns shift redder. Some evil horseshit now that the neanderthals control the statehouse.

Serious question. Can anyone think of a single major Republican policy position that isn’t based on one or more demonstrable falsehoods?

Everyone I have ever met from IA (as to not exaggerate it is a whopping 3) the first thing they asked me: “You wanna wrestle?” Never took them up on it. I’m from IL and we have some serious fun with IA and WI.
