Fiorina: Excellent idea, but it doesn’t go far enough. We also need to arm The Fetus. That way he/she can defend him/herself against the liberal mother from the inside.

As long as there’s a provision in there that “prayers are the proper form of compensation in the event of a shooting to the face,” I can get behind this.

And children are famous for being 100 % obedient. You tell them don’t do it and they never do!. Once your brat has a gun in his or her hand they can tell you what to do or use a “second amendment solution” to your nagging them on what they can do with it. This bill is insane.

Training the next generation of Good Guys with Guns who never show up when there’s a school shooting.

They will also need to know waterboarding. That can be done without parental supervision.

To be fair, in practice, this isn’t gonna make a difference. There are no <14 year olds who will be using guns now that weren’t already using them.

It does, however, tell us a lot about how messed up the GOP and the gun-fetishists are.

holy shit… it’s one thing for rifles, since hunting is popular in iowa; but goddamn, who in the hell thinks arming children is a good idea… well, except for republicons.
i wonder what the polling is on this; the vote count is frightening.

We do not have handguns that I am aware of that fit the hands of a 1- or 2-year-old.

Smith & Wesson and Remington have those in development stage right now.

Iowa Lawmakers: Allow Kids To Use Handguns “With Parental Supervision”.

Clearly, it’s Iowa lawmakers that need “parental supervision”.

“Allowing people to learn at a young age the respect that a gun commands is one of the most important things you can do,” he told the newspaper.

OK ::deep breath:: we just had a story on this very website about a little girl who’d gotten shot in the stomach because an adult decided to show how to clean a gun and didn’t quite realize it was still loaded. Now, that was an ADULT offering this demonstration and you can believe that that little girl has learned about the respect that a gun commands. She’s also learned about pain and suffering that a gun commands and just how stupid some adults can be.

It’s really AND TRULY mindboggling how insane things have gotten in some places… :anguished:

Never expected to go to Trump for an appropriate quote, but:
“How stupid are the people of Iowa?”

Reminds me of the story of the mother that was out shopping with her three kids, the youngest, a toddler, was in the basket of the shopping cart. The mother thought it was a great idea to keep a loaded handgun in her purse which she put in the lap of the toddler while she was shopping. At one point, when the mother was distracted, the toddler opens up the super secret, super safe compartment of the purse, takes out the loaded gun and the two other children got to watch their baby brother gun down their mother right in front of them.

But, of course, THAT was different because that was - an accident…
