Good - that would be what anyone else would receive. What kind of prison does she go to if she still has her “components” and likes women though?
So, I’m reading the headline and thinking, what are these RWNJs up to now??" She didn’t kill him she just changed him around.
And then I see where there was a car crash and ANOTHER man was killed.
Never mind.
An SUV being driven by a reality star crashes into a Lexus which is then hit by a Hummer. Can this accident get any more LA?
Caitlyn is lucky it’s not New jersey this happened in.
“If convicted of such a charge, Jenner would face up to one year in county jail.” A joke.
OMG, just like Laura Bush…
It’s Reality TV/Hollywood. Ergo, I see about 12 plot lines to come and many million$ to be made by Jenner. Pretty good career move. Sorry dead person.
Will her trial be the subject of an independent reality show, or can they fold into an existing one?
Sad for her, but it sounds like a fair charge, especially if she was texting at the time as was rumored. Interesting how this problem was ignored by the celebrity media machine during the few months of “let’s celebrate Caitlyn’s courage.”
One year does seem a bit light.
This is so weird to me. Across the river, there’s a ticket or a charge levied in every accident case. In KY, unless you were speeding excessively, drunk, or committed some other more blatant crime that caused the accident almost no one is ever charged with anything after an accident, even if someone dies.
I’ve seen the video of it while it happened. She was clearly talking on the phone and completely distracted and didn’t even see the stopped traffic. Kinda feel sorry for her, but feel far more sorry for the guy who is dead.
Good. People should receive far more serious penalties for injuring or killing others with their cars.
Only when she’s convicted and ends of serving two days.
Why is this being covered here? Why did I read it? What does it matter that the victim was driving a Lexus? Are we supposed to take the make of the car into account when considering if it should count as a crime? Okay, I’ll play: If a Lexus, no crime.
Caitlyn Jenner to get a manslaughter charge? Am I visiting TPM or is this TMZ?
I want to know who still drives a Hummer in LA in 2015. Not very classy. They must be from Florida.
It sounds like this was one of those cases. That said, there are quirks and injustices in every state. Here in Hawaii, for instance, drunk driving is treated as practically a nonoffense. It takes about the tenth conviction for someone to go to jail for it (for that matter, burglary isn’t much different). In part that’s because penalties were stepped down so that a first offense is a petty misdemeanor, to lighten the court load because there were so many drunk driving cases. Not exactly the best response.
There was recently a guy who was finally being sent to jail (for the first time) on his 14th drunk driving conviction, and had the gall to ask the judge for a “second chance”.
Yes
A male prison. Doesn’t anyone watch “Lockup”?
