Only conservative Republicans would come up with spite legislation to undo everything their predecessor has done. I’m old enough to remember when environmental conservation was a conservative ideal.
Could someone ask Spicer how many National Parks, National Monuments, and State Parks the President has visited? Could he name three of them?

I am not sure if Trump is doing this because he is jealous of his predecessor or because he wants to make the rest of America to either look like Manhattan or be stripped of all it resources but he needs to stop. The changes that are needed is not to decrease the amount of protected land, America needs to make sure more areas are protected from over development.
Putting aside all the other things I dislike about this new administration, the fact that Trump is intent on damaging the environment in so many ways is a step too far. I hope more people wake up and kindly tell him (and anyone in DC who is willing to blindly go along with him) “You’re Fired”. And the termination is 107 days overdue.
If Donnie had his way, all national monuments and parks would be sold off to real estate developers … such as his sons.
This brings to mind a fascinating exhibit I saw at the Art Institute of Chicago in the early nineties, I think, by the photographer John Pfahl. One of his series, “Submerged Petroglyphs”, was pictures of lakes and taken at the exact latitude and longitude of petroglyphs that had been flooded by rivers dammed for power and/or recreational projects. Another was “Missile/Glyphs”, where he juxtaposed images of nuclear missiles and silos side-by-side with ancient petroglyphs.

If Donald fails to get oil pumping rigs at all these monuments he might just have to settle for putting huge gold Trump signs on top of them. He’d settle for that.
So multi-millionaire Roxanne Quimby bought the land in Maine, and gave it to the US to be a National Monument. And now Trump wants to reverse that? I thought Republican policy was that the decisions of multi-millionaires were to be respected.
Not just Obama. The Trumperror will not be truly pleased until the last member of the ConservAmerica board of directors is frog marched into HRC’s cell

“Conservative” originally meant to conserve the commons – and, the “old ways”. .
