We’re not worried, FEMA will take care of us just like they did in Puerto Rico.
Buh-bye Mar-a-Swampo!
Be interesting to see how the Republican politicians that control NC government react o this. If it hits the towns they care about, i.e. where they have second home beach cottage and large yachts, I’m sure they’ll demand all kinds of federal aid. If it hits the areas that are just poor farm folks living on the edge, they will demand they pull themselves up by their own boot straps.
I think Lindsey Graham should be strapped down on a SC beach to blow the hurricane away.
More paper towels!
Global warming is good because rain helps plants grow.
Here in NC, cars are already lined up around the block to top off their tanks. Stores are running out of bottled water. The worst of the storm won’t hit until Thursday.
I lived through Hurricane Fran in 1996. It went right over our house in the middle of the night. Other than downed trees and twigs everywhere, it wasn’t the worst. Days of rain left the ground completely saturated. Giant old trees toppled over, sometimes lifting up an entire lawn with the roots. We were out of power for 4 days and went to a hotel with emergency generators. Some cities were without power for a month. Grocery stores were looted. Hope we don’t see another one like that.
You’ll HAVE PLENTY of water once the rain starts. AND TRump will bring plenty of PAPER towels to soak up the EXCESS water so the trees should BE OK.
Thanks for the reassurance, TGOET. If I get thirsty during the hurricane, I’ll just go outside and open my mouth. You always have the best ideas!!
Fran was Cat. 3 … 120 mph …
This is so far looking like a Cat. 4 … and may be 140/50 at landfall …
You batten down and hold on ! … please be safe —

just trying to be HELPFUL. MAGA!
Thanks. We’ve been keeping a pretty close eye on the radar and making the usual preparations. We are inland (near Raleigh) but the forecast still looks mighty serious. We’ve got our windowless safe spot picked out.
They always get it worst on the coast, and yet there are natives who refuse to leave. They figure they’ve toughed it out all these years, nothing can hurt them. However, the real estate biz gets a little more worried every year about property values on the coast as the storms worsen and the shoreline erodes. A couple of seaside hotels have shut down in the last decade as their land washed away from underneath them. Lobbyists have convinced the NC legislature to outlaw any mention of climate change or using NOAA measurements of the rising sea level.
Nature has the final word.
FOLLOWING his TRADE wars to bend the WORLD to hIS WILL, TRUMp wiLL TURN to bring to heel WEATHER. WEATHER WILL no longer be permitted to taKE advantage of America!
This thing just went from a wet-willie to a f’ing monster in 6 hours …
and it’s just getting started again … I know you got this …
I just worry for my friends —
