Reading segments of the NYT interview is really frightening. He is a sick man - in addition to being ignorant, arrogant and incompetent. Will we survive this as a country?
The only part of that interview that made any sense was “[garbled]”.
If it’s not dementia we’re in even worse trouble.
Wow, he’s just a fool. What other word describes him?
Insurance for 12 bucks?
Last I looked it was a buck in the machine in the men’s room.
Or, if purchased under Federal contract at a Trump hotel,
twelve dollars.
“These guys couldn’t believe it, how much I know about it. I know a lot about health care."
Of course they couldn’t believe how much he knows about health care.
Practically nothing, and then he lies about how much he knows.
The $12/ year insurance is $650 a month if you don’t pay the bill all at once. It really saves to make the single payment.
Frankly, I can’ believe how much he knows about it either. A 71 year old man who has absolutely no clue how the system works or is supposed to work.
What a first-class dickhead.
(That is the only place I would use “first-class” in reference to Drumpfie. Oh, except maybe for “idiot”. And “POS”…)
Here’s something where you walk up and say, “I want my insurance.”
I like the idea of going up to a service counter and asking for my insurance, as if the insurance is a real, tangible thing, maybe a box that says INSURANCE on it. And you put the insurance in your trunk, not in the back seat, so when you stop at the grocery store on the way home (it’s one banana, ivanka. what could it cost, ten dollars?) a thief won’t see your insurance sitting in the back seat and break into your car and steal your insurance.
Incoherent. Whether his ignorance is the result of inability or dementia or something else, it doesn’t really matter. He has no clue what he is talking about.
Okay, ladies and gentlemen, let us now in unison confess that our President is a totally incompetent buffoon, unworthy of the office, and a grotesque embarrassment to our beloved country. Now. Is. The. Time!
The Trump administration is a Potemkin Village of Policy.
And, ironically, Grigorij Potemkin was Russian…
Well, this interview explains why he’d gone from repeal and replace, to repeal, to just-let-it-fail, and back to repeal and replace in the course of one week: he has no idea of, or interest in, what anybody is doing with insurance and how anything would work. For him, health insurance just vaguely relates to some applause line he got at a rally; nothing more, nothing less.
I’ve already used up my lifetime allotment of embarrassment, cringes, eyerolls, OMGS, and WTFs.
“I know the bad people”
Way to win hearts and minds of the Senators you need.
Beyond the political stupidity of that, his gross ignorance and being totally divorced from reality as it pertains to healthcare and health insurance needs of non-billionaires is staggering.
People actually voted for this man and believed what he said. A minority, to be fair, but this goddamned lunatic idiot would have been fired from a bean counting gig within the first couple of weeks under any other circumstances. That’s the most depressing part in all of this.
a deep ignorance
The man’s greatest and only talent is his ability to lie and BS.
He’s a clever spinning top of jibber jabber actively editing present with past, fact with fiction as he spins and fibs, elevated by the trappings and deference due the office (until now).
