Um, liberals are not “advocates of global warming”, but conservatives actions to ignore and contribute to the problem indicate they are. Also is James Inhofe not selectively pro-life? or has he come out against capital punishment?
It’s called “science,” Senator. The same science that overwhelmingly demonstrates how we are impacting the planet’s climate, also allows us to distinguish between a fertilized egg and a viable fetus.

The question at hand was this man’s foolish denial of Climate change is at odds with the Pope’s and all the God stuff associated with a Pope and a religious zealot. That was the question. It wasn’t about “Pro Life”. That’s why no one was talking about it.
Inhofe should act like a big boy. When the topics Pro Life get on it. When its Warming get on that. But you can’t use one to hide from the other and be credible.

Two ways to look at it, in today’s episode of Why Different Things Are Different:
Someone as otherwise conservative as the Pope recognizes that Climate Change is a serious issue, and uses his position as a moral leader to advocate for action.
After factoring out those whose real motive is to oppress women and the poor, abortion is a long-standing issue over an individual choice. In contrast, Climate Change is an issue that affects life and civilization on the planet as we know it, with a limited time frame for action.

The news media runs to a yahoo like Sen. Inhofe to get a quote on this issue. Instead of laughing it off he gives them a headline and it’s posted. If he was Catholic they would have mentioned it like they did with Rep. Gasor. Too bad he is the go to guy for anti-global warming hysteria. There are many responsible people who think the Pope is mistaken in tying the official church to scientific prediction.
With all due respect, birth control is an issue that affects all women. Poor women most of all. I would much rather the Pope speak out on that than climate change.
