Discussion: In Tweets, Trump Fixates On James Comey, Mentions Syria Strikes And Cohen

For the life of me, I STILL can’t imagine what Trump believes this tweeting accomplishes.
The POTUS really is seriously mentally disturbed.

Maybe its just a simple way for him to stoke and gauge the temperature of his base.

I did too, and then my next thought was how big will the Trump Super Fund be?

For what it’s worth - I fly again tomorrow afternoon. My Friday flight seems to have done it’s usual magic.

The Syrian raid was so perfectly carried out, with such precision, that the only way the Fake News Media could demean was by my use of the term “Mission Accomplished.”

The failing New York Times and Bezos Post refused to carry story but they could not keep the truth from Fox & Friends:

He’s turning many many more people off than he’s turning on right now. The 40 percent and trending higher polls have to be wrong, skewed for some reason that’s beyond me at the moment. He’s losing support. You can feel it in the air and in your bones. It’s just there.

He feels it too, on some level. And it’s making him even more nuts than he was to begin with.

I can imagine Comey having at least somewhat thought something like that. It only would have taken a tiny change in votes for us all to be praising his full disclosure and honesty.

At least thinking that consciously. His longstanding mostly subconscious animus would have been a pretty big factor too.

He only cares about what Fox & Friends, Hannity, and a few other ball-lickers have to say.

The white media holders are tacky, I would of expected the gold wire ones.

I’m not arguing because I get what you’re saying and largely agree but to me it’s a question of first how you’d define recovery as a society and how long you’d allow for it, seeing as how we’re seeing things play out that were decades and centuries in the making. Societies often shuttle back and forth between authoritarianism and democracy. The McCarthy years, the anti-socialist hysteria in the early 20th century, the African-American community for our entire history, bad stuff happens. Sometimes worse, sometimes not as bad. Always complex, rarely entirely predictable. Just saying.

Sad, yes, but that don’t make it Greek tragedy. Tragedies happen to persons of some nobility & virtue.
This guy is a common grafter, totally without any redeeming qualities whatsoever and so deserving of the worst that can happen to him.

I disagree. I know many people (including my 2 sisters) who voted for Trump. They might be occasionally embarrassed by his antics (tweeting) but as of today everyone of them would vote for Trump again. Guaranteed.

That was trippy when I read it. He really did make up a dumb ass rationale post fact to cover his stupidity.

They’re not for us, it’s how his supporters get their news/talking points. They now know they can ignore any contradictory stories; the King has spoken.

This too shall pass. It’s always darkest before the indictment. Hey buddy chin up, and we can only go up from here.
