If Lil’ Rube had any self respect, he’d quit before the final insult in Florida.

Ted should be embarrassed that he won his tome state by such a small margin. But, we all know he has no shame.

On the one hand, I wish he’d lost because he’s a disgusting sack of shit - the kind you see only once every 20-30 years.

On the other hand, winning means he’ll stretch out his farce even longer. I can’t wait to see what dirty trick he’ll aim at Trump that will backfire entertaingly.

Cruz didn’t get the magical 50.1 % which would have given him 100% of the delegates. Now he has to share them proportionately with Trump and the other-rans.

When was Cruz winning Texas considered an “upset”…?

It’s the New Narrative…

What news narrative is that? Most of the news I have been reading these past few days showed Cruz was likely to only win Texas tonight. And FiveThirtyEight had Cruz with an 87% chance of winning Texas for well over a week.

Major upset? Is that what we’re calling it now? Man has Trump managed to lower the bar…

Texas might be Cruz’s last hurrah, but to call winning his home state that he’s nearly camped out in since New Hampshire is a bit rich, no?
May he have none. The delicious joy of Marco Ruboto losing his home state to an egomaniacal New York blowhard doesn’t have a word that can describe it. “Schadenfreude” is just too weak.

Cruz’ narrative. Any win, anywhere, has gotta be an Upset in front of Train Trump.

Cruz just won Oklahoma and Texas Trump all the rest.

Oklahoma called for Cruz as well. He ain’t goin’ nowhere.

He just won Oklahoma too, Arkansas has not been called yet,

Uh oh, don’t look now, but Rubio is struggling to hit the magic 20% mark in Texas…

From the Houston Chronicle:

"Rice University political scientist Mark Jones and University of Houston political scientist Brandon Rottinghaus agreed Cruz needed to top 50 percent of the statewide vote to claim a resounding Texas victory.

“There is no way for Cruz or his supporters to spin any victory by a margin in the single digits as a decisive win,” Jones said.

"Cal Jillson, political scientist at Southern Methodist University, said “The margin in Texas, whether big or small, does not matter if Texas is all that Cruz wins. Trump is going to have a big night and Rubio is the Republican establishment’s rallying point, which likely leaves Cruz without a path forward unless he shows appreciable strength outside Texas.”

Well, Minnesota is not yet reporting a winner on the GOP side.

Aware. I just don’t see how calling Cruz winning his home state which the polling showed was likely as na upset.

A surprise win in Arkansas and or Oklahoma, ok. But Texas?

Come on TPM, you should be better than this.
These states are geographically good for Cruz—filled with southern evangelicals, and bordering on Texas. Of course, the border with Florida could help Rubio in Alabama and Georgia, if his own state supported him.
