Trump is a bit of an idiot - and a lot of a bit of a psychopath - and frequently adept at manipulating certain groups - - and the crazy thing about really crazy people is that they can be idiot savant-like in certain ways that can be startling - it is an odd thing but it is a reality - and the general conservative population which tends to think in binary logic tends to get all perplexed by this - they see a lunatic who can calculate pi to 20 places and they think "oh he must be smart’ - they seem incapable of working through matters with nuance - they have a problem analyzing individuals who are highly contradictory… and they have such blinding loyalties to to those who say what they want to hear that they will ignore facts and truth.

Donald Trump is a threat to our national security. Bigger than Russia or China, NK or Iran because this threat is squatting, tick-tocking at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., doing everything possible to bring the country to its knees.

No, I think this again misunderestimates Donald Trump’s relationship with our fact-based epistemology.
There’s a pretty high probability that anything Trump says once is something he kind of wants to be true, and anything he repeats is something that he absolutely must believe to be true. And when I say “believe to be true”, I mean will into being by the power of Trumpy desire. That’s how he’s wired.
