Congress cannot initiate the 25th. That has to be initiated by the VP. THEN a majority of cabinet secs. THEN each chamber of congress votes on it. And each chamber must get 2/3 votes for it to pass.

Impeachment would be much easier.

But, with Pence’s help, who knows?

The Steele dossier is a story of an intelligence operative turned dirt digging entrepreneur, who sold his dirt to Rump-rival Republicans until they stopped buying. Then, he made another sale, to Democrats. It’s no more illegal than Glock selling pistols to cops, robbers and bystanders alike.

You remember a while back, people were saying that Trump’s public persona is in contrast to his sober, articulate private self? Been a while since anyone tried that gambit.I have to say that SHS comes off particularly badly.

Saying the whole Russia thing seems to have turned around isn’t technically delusional, I suppose. It’s more like a pathetic clutching at straws. But it’s still a pitiable denial of reality in anyone, much less—well. Just another not-normal day. We do what we can and keep trudging forward, right?

Keep 'em coming, Omarosa. I’m willing to give you 15 more minutes of fame and then maybe 15 minutes more after that. Sure, you never should have had a job in the White House, but tapes!

“The front appears to have stabilized! Once again, we can resume the offensive! Jodl, what do you think?”

“Absolutely, mein Fuhrer”.

A certain famous German speaking to his enabling military chief-of-staff, circa 1945.

Hicks:
“I heard someone say you were handsomer than Tom Sellack Sir.”

“I could kick his ass if I wanted to.”
Sanders:
“Absolutely Sir.”

Then jangling their parti-colored fool’s caps and hitting each other with their baubles, they continued to cavort and amuse their lord.

You try to imagine what it must be like working in the Trump White House, then you get confirmation of what it is really like and it is worse than you thought. Here these people are trying to cover up the latest stupid thing that comes out of Trump’s mouth. Then he shows up and babbles incoherently like he is at a campaign rally.

No wonder they can’t seem to get anything accomplished. They have to agree with nearly everything he says, or else. In a way Trump is correct, the White House is operating like a well oiled machine, unfortunately, that machine is a revolving door.

The 25th is a more difficult way to remove him than impeachment is. Forget the 25th amendment. There is only one way to stop Trump and that is to flip the house.

Former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks spoke up next, saying she had heard someone say that Clinton was “far worse for the country than we thought if she didn’t know her own campaign was spending $9 million.”

‘Trump whispering’ at work

“The real Russia story is Hillary and collusion,” he said. “Somebody told me, Hope, you told me it was $9 million they spent on the phony report.”

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is heard interrupting, saying it was “closer to six.”

The Clinton campaign and the DNC paid Perkins Coie more than $9 million – although it’s uncertain how much of that money, if any, went toward the dossier.

Trump was referencing the so-called dossier, which was initially compiled for a conservative outlet by Fusion GPS seeking damaging information on Trump. When Trump became the nominee, a law firm affiliated with Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid Fusion GPS to continue conducting its research.

“The reason a law firm is because this way you don’t have to give any papers. But they found out, it’s definitely illegal and its illegal from a campaign standpoint, from a campaign financing standpoint.”

Aware of that.

But it can precipitate this:

Omarosa and The Rump’s reaction to her unintentionally highlight something important. Giving jobs as personal acts of charity to someone who is deemed worthy a break, when your business is not named “Goodwill,” is a sign of a questionable enterprise.

We’re supposed to believe that if all the immigrants disappeared, all these favors would suddenly be bestowed upon American workers instead. The real world economy doesn’t function that way for very long.

Wilhelm Keitel: The FĂźhrer has lost all sense of reality.
Alfred Jodl: He’s moving divisions around that exist only on his map. Steiner’s unit can hardly defend itself yet he wants Steiner to attack! It’s madness!
Hermann Fegelein: So why don’t you tell him that?
Wilhelm Keitel: He doesn’t listen to reason.
Hermann Fegelein: Something has to happen.
Wilhelm Keitel: Are you crazy? He’ll throw us out, like Rundstedt and Guderian.
Hermann Fegelein: Yes, and?
Alfred Jodl: We’re soldiers, we took an oath!
Herman Fegelein: Does that prevent us from using our brains?
Wilhelm Burgdorf: And that’s coming from you? An opportunist? A ruthless careerist?
Hermann Fegelein: Pardon?

I am not the least bit fond of Omarosa, but I really do greatly appreciate her timing and her collection of tapes.

May they keep on rolling over the next 8 weeks, nicely spaced and increasingly bizarre. Hopefully making the whole WH kit and caboodle look as appalling as they truly are.

I might even learn to forgive her a bit if she does that. Maybe.
