Discussion: In Moscow, Ex-Trump Aide Touts Tillerson As Great For US-Russia Relations

It’s like the whole gang is scrupulously avoiding even the appearance of propriety.

So is he really an ex Trump aid or did he just move to a " independent, stealth spokesperson?"

Connect the dots:

… Trump reportedly has bigly yuge economic interests in Ru$$ia.
… Ru$$ia’S economy is hurting and Putin wants to export more oil.
… Exxon can refine and re-sell Ru$$ian oil and is deeply involved in that country.
… Trump nominates boss of Exxon for Secretary of State.
… CIA finds Russian hackers tried to help Trump’s election, Trump mocks the US intelligence community.

Now I get it: our old buddies, the Ru$$ian$!

Meanwhile: On Sunday, Russian state-run media unveiled a new intercontinental ballistic missile: the RS-28 Sarmat, or the “Satan 2” as NATO calls it.

According to Dr. Jeffrey Lewis, the founder of Arms Control Wonk, Russia’s newest nuke doesn’t just threaten international stability; it is itself unstable.

“The advantage is, you can put a whole bunch of warheads on them,” Lewis said. Indeed, having multiple nukes on a single missile makes Russia’s nuclear arsenal very potent — but also destabilizing.

Would somebody tell me why Russia is now the center of the American universe. Is it simply that Putin owns Trump or is there some other reason. Economically Russia is a backward 2nd world country. Militarily it is equally a backwater. The only things it has going for it are a lot of land and mineral resources, and nuclear weapons left over from the Soviet Empire and an new multiple warhead rocket.

If any people doubted that the GOP was a morally and ethically bankrupt, anti-intellectual husk of a neo-fascist political party, the aftermath of this election should remove that doubt. Yes, lots of people will continue to support the GOP, but it becomes harder everyday for those idiots to find cover.

Carter Page is an American oil industry consultant and was a foreign policy advisor to Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign. He is the founder and managing partner of Global Energy Capital, a New York investment fund and consulting firm specializing in the Russian and Central Asian oil and gas business.

Cover? They don’t need no stinking cover! They’ll just continue to wear the badge of Conservative Christians, Change Voters or other nonsensical false flags.

And they’ll never admit to having made a mistake becuz…

My personal opinion is that Trump owes the Russian oligarchs some big money. If you look at the holdings he’s acquired and the outstanding loans he has from Duetsche Bank and Ladder Capital, it doesn’t add up. Forbes estimated he lost $800 million last year alone, and you can only rob Peter to pay Paul for so long. Since traditional lenders (who know his history of bait-and-switch and his pathological need to bend everyone over) wouldn’t touch him with a ten-foot pole, he’s been forced to find alternative financing. Enter the Russians and let me introduce you to some REAL shake-down artists. FYI, Ladder Capital is for sale and guess who might buy it - the Chinese government. We could end up with a president who personally owes the Chinese government a couple of hundred million dollars. Jesus Christ!

TPM missed the boat with this story.

U.S. government might have deliberately orchestrated cyberattacks to make it look as though they were coming from Russia, Carter Page says.
