My takeaway: trump has visions. That might explain covfefe.
Meanwhile, Melanoma will be promoting her latest line of stilettos ā¦
and action figure.
Great. In this speech we can expect the Creative Destruction not only of logic but of mathematics as well.
Trumpās āvisionā as somebody reads to him from the collected works of Grover Norquist and Milton Friedman.
###āLove finds Mr. Magooā
By all means, donāt let a 500 year flood and natural disaster get in the way of your plan for tax breaks for the rich, Pr*sident Rump. Iām sure they absolutely canāt wait to hear about your āvisionā.
Way to go, asshole.
There will be no gain from this speech. There can only be disapproval and potential outrage. What could he possibly say that is important enough that it will eclipse what is happening in south Texas, and may soon happen in Louisiana and Mississippi? There isnāt even a planāthere will just be promises that he will cut taxes for everyone, and possible claims that no one in the entire country had to pay taxes before Obama.
Besides, heās going to be so unhappy that people arenāt suddenly praising him for his performance in Texas that heāll have to strike out against āfake news.ā Stand by for claims of throngs of people standing in line to cheer him.
Iād say his āvisionā is more like āhallucination.ā Or maybe āmirage.ā Something shimmery (to the Gooper eye) but insubstantial.
There are no details because every time you try to nail something down, it melts away. Like fog.
ETA: A bit OT but symptomatic of the same disease. From Newsweek:
DONALD TRUMP CONFUSED HOPES AND FACTS IN FIGHTER JET SALE ANNOUNCEMENT, SAYS FINLAND
It was with fervor that (Trump] announced a new deal to supply Finlandās air force with āa large numberā of F18 fighter jets from Boeing. The news was a surprise to many, most of all Finland and its President Sauli Niinistƶ, who was sharing a podium with Trump as he made the announcement.
The Finnish Defense Ministry quickly denied the deal and the president refuted Trumpās claim via Twitter.
You just canāt make this stuff up.
Businesses do not create jobs, any more than couch potatoes create flat screen televisions. They are the buyers in a two-way transaction.
That said, the corporate rate could be much lower than 15% if the tax basis were unadjusted gross revenue, with no exemptions, deductions, exceptions or credits. It would be lower still if unadjusted gross revenue included sale of stock and financial instruments, and even lower still if it were applied to all organizations and did away with the tax privileges of non-profits.
Those changes alone would help more Americans sell their labor than any proposal under consideration, by Republicans or Democrats.
trump can and does make stuff up all the damned time.
Sadly, you are rightā¦
He has no visionā¦He wants to show the MO crowds that want Pres. ObĆ ma and SoS Clinton to go to,jailā¦
HIS APPROVALS ARE UNDER 20%ā¦
LOCK THE ARSE HAT UP.
Oh goodie, more ācut tax cuts for the rich create jobs for the working classā bullshit. Howās that workinā out for you, Kansas, rural Missouri, West Virginia, Kentucky, etc, ect?
I was missing voodoo economics as national policy. Glad to see theyāre back.
The Republicans like this Brian McGuire (and, of course, Paul Ryan) are unamerican. With everything going on in the world, only a loathsome, contemptible, sociopath (or an incredibly gullible, guileless gourd) would think that legislation to lower taxes on corporations and affluent are even close to a necessity.
If Trump has āvisionsā they must all look like a Bosch painting.
Like asking millions of Americans to jump out of an airplane without a parachute and trust him to figure out a way to stop them from hitting the ground at terminal velocity.
So uhhh, heās going to Missouri to talk about a plan that hasnāt even been finalized and he has no clue about the details?
OK.
It is also not clear what kind of break a typical taxpayer will see.
I think itās perfectly clear. They will get the same level of break that theyāve gotten in every other republic tax plan for the past 30 years.
Bupkis.
"it could also very well be the difference between Donald Trump presiding over a jobs boom and Nancy Pelosi presiding over an impeachment trial.ā
When did Pelosi become Chief Justice? Has DT told Roberts yet?
GOP tax cuts have never proved to be sustainable since raygun. The fact that their framing this so voters ābelieveā that tax cuts and dropping the corp tax will benefit them another lie that they keep falling for itā¦
It is and now will be āthe trump economyā of which when it crashes heāll take no responsibility forā¦
