Discussion: In A Shocking Twist, Paper Owned By Trump's Son-In-Law Endorses Trump

Heh – I recently noticed a Sanders supporter on TPM linking to an Observer article trashing HRC for something or another. Completely clueless about the Kushner connection. It reinforced my observation that a lot of the anti-HRC crap floating around Sanders circles is originally sourced from right wing outlets – but its laundered of its dirty origins by going through the purifying effects of repetition by progressives.

Some of the supposed Bernie supporters online seriously parrot a lot of Fox News-type talking points against Hillary. But sometimes they slip up and forget the role they are supposed to be playing. I’ve seen some of them call it the “Democrat party” instead of the “Democratic party.” Gee, I wonder where that obnoxious verbal tic is prevalent? lol

Dimwits.

"Donald Trump is the father-in-law of the Observer’s publisher, that is not a reason to endorse him. "

For the publisher it is.

Whoever is writing these headlines is getting a bit frisky.

There’s this one and the one on Paul Ryan.

Giving millions of disillusioned Americans a renewed sense of purpose and opportunity

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha… that is such a perfect characterization of Trump.

Pssst, 7 Across, rhymes with ‘hump’…

Do people pay money for that rag or is it one of those free give-aways? Either way, what a waste of good trees.

In other major news, the fair and unbiased FOX endorses all republican candidates in national/local elections.

The editorial board of The New York Observer, a weekly newspaper owned by Jared Kushner, the husband of Trump’s daughter Ivanka, kicked off its endorsement by insisting it was based on the candidate’s merits and not his family connections.

And Donald thinks to himself, “If that chick weren’t married, I’d hit on her.”

It is SO refreshing to see a media outlet that can put aside petty partisanship and base its positions on an objective view of the candidates!

(And I own a piece of a bridge in NYC that you might be interested in buying.)

“Donald Trump is the father-in-law of the Observer’s publisher,” the
endorsement began. “That is not a reason to endorse him. Giving millions
of disillusioned Americans a renewed sense of purpose and opportunity
is.”

I just threw up. And not justa little.

Trump’s object here is to stand on the shoulders of working people, not in a nice way, expecting them to give him a boost to greater wealth and power. He isn’t expecting to give his millions of supporters a damned thing after the election he expects to win.

I mean, it is The Observer, official paper of brass-buttoned, bowtied Upper East Side old money WASP young fogeys, circulation bupkis. Whatever.

I only wonder if Kushner registered to vote in the primary, unlike “The Donald’s” children. No matter, he’s not going to win, even if he does get the GOP nomination. I’m still expecting him to reveal this to be a bigger put-on than Joaquin Phoenix’s “meltdown.” When does the movie come out so I can not pay good money to watch it?

As I said that crowd stays where they are on the backs of the hard working “other” crowd that the young fogeys do not want to associate with. They “love” them some poor folk, if the wealthy get a tax cut outta the deal.

Think fish wrapper deluxe.

Who would of thunk it?

I’ve seen a number of them say that they thought she was okay in 2008, but since then they’ve become convinced of her deep corruption and pure evil heart. Funny that.
