“fierce Donald Trump foe”

Huh? I think that moment passed long ago.

I can’t wait for Curz’s new book:

How to go from fierce Trump critic to Trump toady in 2 easy lessons.

“[Cruz] says … that it’s his opponent who now wants to sow political chaos by impeaching Trump. ‘…It would paralyze the federal government for two years.’”

Ha ha ha yes indeed. I don’t know about impeachment, but the fed needs to be paralyzed until Trump, Pence, and their enablers can be voted out in their entirety in 2020. Then we can start repairing the damage.

The senator says the massive Houston rally Trump staged on his behalf last week…

Hmm…would that be the rally with 8,000 people Trump headed?

As opposed to the 50,000+ that Willie Nelson and Beto had a few weeks ago?

Paralysis isn’t good, but it’s better than destruction.

Not one of his quoted statements says anything. ‘He knows he’s going to win the election because this is Texas and Texans will defend liberty.’ (That’s a paraphrase.). What the heck does that mean?

Yup. I think the best we can hope for (aside from divine intervention) is to put the brakes on with a Democratic House and work to finish the job in 2020.

Here in San Antonio, in the northern Republican suburbs, I see more Beto signs than Cruz. The only thing that Cruz has got going for him is the support of the right wing Christian vote which is quite strong. They are hateful bitchy people. If you want to understand this race more there is a decent 4 episode podcast from Texas monthly called Underdog. Each episode is about 30 minutes. Not so much about the candidates but about Texas voters. And very infuriating.

Time will tell how this will turn out.

Go to Beto’s Twitter and check out how many people from around the country who have never been to Texas have donated to him. The guy visits 3-4 voting sites every day all around Texas. He is the Energizer Bunny and he is darn authentic. He is the face of the future Democratic Party.

Even Latino voters are turning out in droves for him.

There should be some new Dem governors, too–they’re the ones who can fight voter suppression and gerrymandering.

It doesn’t have to mean anything for the stupids. In fact, better it doesn’t. Then they can just fill in the blank with whatever they want to think (and I use that term loosely in this case).

“It would paralyze the government for two years” says the man who personally brought the Senate to a halt just to fight Obamacare.

It’s a flexible word that changes with the times, but the last 5 years or so, “liberty” has meant the right to be denied healthcare.

Latest polls show Beto closing the gap (one week out) to less than 4%… early voting (which has broken all sorts of records and are on pace with the 2016 Presidential) in Texas ends Friday. Last minute undecided voters will break for Beto.

If you’re not filled with rage, you’re not paying attention, to paraphrase a popular bumper sticker.

Win or lose,O’Rourke is gonna have major coattails. Here in Harris County,GOPs are scared shitless. Their ads and the money pouring in here show it.
