“Unlikely” fan is correct. In fact, not a fan at all. Beware conservative Republicans bearing “gifts”. Ingraham is grasping for a bit of AOC’s star power, as well as a chance to dim that light.

You’re not a threat to them unless they talk about you. They don’t mention Hoyer (and I love Steny Hoyer, as he represented my district until I moved away) because he doesn’t threaten them. Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff… they talk about them constantly because they threaten the well-being of the right. Pelosi is placed in all these local campaign ads because cons are afraid of her. AOC is genuinely making them scared.

I agree. These FOX talking heads are all about ego and ratings. I think that’s more at work here than ideology. Not that they aren’t pigs. But they are self serving pigs first.

Ingram knows exactly what she’s doing here. She’s telling her listeners that Democrats have anointed a formidable socialist leader. They haven’t. AOC has awesome political chops but it is Pelosi leading the party. But going after Pelosi appears to not work any longer - 2018 Midterms - so Ingram needs a new and scarier boogie woman for the Republicans to hate on.

Folks, don’t worry about this. AOC didn’t fall for the offers to “debate” Ben Shapiro. She won’t fall for this one either. Ocasio-Cortez isn’t just savvy and witty - she is genuinely very intelligent.
