Discussion: Immigrants Held In US Prison Sue Over 'Abysmal' Conditions

The nerve of these detainees… next thing you know they will ask to be treated like human beings.

As a result of the unconstitutional treatment of these civil detainees, many have expressed a desire to be returned, immediately, to their countries of origin — foregoing their claims for immigration relief altogether — because they would rather face the dangers back home than be imprisoned in these abysmal conditions

Trump’s mission accomplished moment… sounds like the desired result has been achieved.

There are people that get their rocks off doing this to others. It satisfies a morbid need in them. Naturally if you were like that you’d seek a job that gave you the opportunity to realize it. Like ICE. It’s perfect. The people are completely defenseless and have no means to stop you. How sweet is that if your the kind of monster that gets a charge out of ripping families apart? After Trump is gone ICE will need to be restructured or dissolved. Preferably wiped away and a new agency, sans the bad ass acronym, formed to deal with people seeking the American way…the American way.

ICE isn’t bad-ass – just sort of chilling. They’re going to fix that when they call themselves the “New Immigration and Customs Enforcement”.

Well here you go liddle Jeffy, here’s a job for your Religious Liberty Task Force. Show us how this will work.

Somewhat related because it’s about the rise of latino workers and white anxiety. My son, who lives in MX, sent it to me because I work for a company that make poultry processing equipment and go into these plants a lot. I went into one in Ohio and about the only white folks I saw were upper level folks and most of the maintenance guys. A few latino maintenance guys but I don’t think I saw any black folks in the plant. All the folks handling the birds appeared latino. It was an Amish region of OH probably a similar latitude as the plant in the article.

Edit: and interesting they show a picture of a house in Lebanon, Pa with an American/confederate flag hanging from the porch. Which goes along with what I notice that a lot of northern state white folks seem almost if not more racist that the native southerners in NC and other southern states.
