I know that Hobby Lobby. In the same strip mall is Katy’s Dumpling House, a little hole in the wall that serves what is far and away the best, most authentic Chinese food in the Chicago metro area. If I needed an incentive to grab a box of condoms and join in, there it is!

Since the SCOTUS also ruled that buffer zones are unconstitutional, I think Hobby Lobby should be ground zero for protesting. Because 95% of the products that Hobby Lobby sells is made in China, it should be protested with placards that read, “Hobby Lobby sanctions forced abortions in China, but won’t give employees access to contraceptives in the USA!”

hobby lobby’s cheap and safe birth control:
Hobby Lobby just paid for full page ads for the 4th of July in numerous papers combining a flag with quotes about the religious and Christian basis of our country. I’m still searching for the word God in the Constitution. The quote attributed to Sinclair Lewis about fascism coming America about fascism coming to America wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross comes to mind as does t he same two symbols with a little fire added by the KKK.

What a novel way to protest the hypocrisy of Hobby Lobby. They invest millions of dollars in funds in contraceptive manufacturing yet deny women the right to decide with their doctors what form of contraceptive is appropriate for that woman. It is likely that Hobby Lobby will pay dearly for their hypocritical attempt to use the power of the purse over their employees.

Something gives me the feeling the blowback from the Hobby Lobby decision by the Court is going to be bigger than those 5 boys anticipated. After Citizens United, striking down the 4th article of the Voting Rights Act and now this……I don’t know……something tells me this is going to have some blowback bigger than their ugliest wet nightmare.

There are millions of Christians who understand the actual teachings of Christ and act accordingly. It’s the white evangelicals who have a problem with Christ’s teachings.

Yup. I think Citizens United and Hobby Lobby will ultimately be regarded as two of the worst Supreme Court decisions, not on the same level of evilness but similarly wrongheaded as the ones that led to segregation. And I think they will eventually be recognized as such by the Court itself and overturned sometime in the next 50-80 years or so, but in the meantime they will do a lot of damage.
