Yes. It cast a cloud. A cloud over the Clinton campaign, and helped elect Trump. And to believe that is helpful to our idiot president, you’d have to be dumb as a Trump supporter. Or as Trump himself.

“Cast a cloud” is an unfortunately vague term. It seems the IG meant it in the sense of negative perceptions, but Trump will seize on it and weaponize it into a claim that the investigation is tainted and illegitimate.

  1. The White House is having to hol a job fair looking for “conservatives” to fill WH and other executive branch jobs because nobody wants to be stained by association with Trump.

  2. New York AG has filed suit against Trump Foundation for misusing the charitable foundation to personally benefit Trump. ETA: she’s sued the Foundation, Donny, Donny Jr., Ivanka, and Erik. For once, Tiffany is happy to be left out.

The IG is nutso and/or biased for Trump. Of course FBI officials have their private opinions. The mistake these two made was not that they had these opinions but that they put them in their work emails.

Even the IG concedes he found no impact on the work.

Just try telling me that if we got access to the private emails of most of the FBI there would not be equivalent or worse statements about Hillary.
