Discussion: If This Is What The 'Establishment' GOP Looks Like, Bring On November

Discussion for article #222476

The GOP keeps faling to lows of abysmal levels… Funny (nah, scary, really) to watch how conservatives have been dropping the masks of decency more and more since Jan 20, 2009th to reveal their truly evil colors…

FWIW, the Personhood amendment would ban all prescription birth control except the mini-pill.

It’s based on a fundamental misunderstand of how birth control works. Saying “IUDs keep fertilized eggs from implanting” is invalid (and the basis for Hobby Lobby v Sebelius).

Crisco vs. Ellmers. Only one is a food, but both will kill you.

We re talking the South here. Bizarre as it seems, Tillis IS the “mainstream common-sense” choice down there, and unless Hagan gets busy right away exposing this piece of GOP to NC voters, she is going to get slammed by BOTH Koch brother and establishment money

(whine) But they’re not reaaaaal conservatives! Only good things are due to conservatism! All bad things are from not being conservative enough!

I think there might be something wrong with my browser, I keep restarting it but it still says something about Clay Aiken running for office??

On the downside, the Kochtopus Empire has already signalled its willingness to pour unlimited money into North Carolina’s Senate and judicial races.

These southern nuts are stupid beyond words. They’ve been singing the same anti-patriotic, secessionist song about confining the federal government “to its original minimalist role” since the 1820’s. That didn’t work out so well in 1861-65, did it.

If they ever got their way they’d lose the billions in U.S. transfer payments every year and would wind up with a ‘nation’ of their own that would make Nigeria look like paradise.

Doubting Tom and the emergence of the Grand Dragons in our political system. Why not, if the Domestic and Financial terrorists were so successful in the GOP?

North Carolina is a gerrymandering state Obama carried it in 2008 and barely lost in 2012. this is a state wide election and Demowimps have to get out the vote. Hagen is a good campaigner i expect her to pull it through.

You could say they have taken the Interior Mountain West, The Plains States and The Southwest with them. Funny the same territories the GOP brought into the Union to dilute the strength of the slave holding states in the Senate, during slavery.

Yes, they are completely lost to the KKK similar to Reconstruction. All pretenses are gone.

So Thom Tillis will be guy who will replace Kay Hagan at the Senate…

Even folks in North Carolina realize that not only are Teabaggers the kind of incompetent kooks that you never wanted to sit next to at the Thanksgiving table, but their entire political style is rooted in the Politics of Resentment.

It may feel great voting for them at the time but when the job STARTS, the POR is useless when it comes to getting things done.
