That’s right, Mr. Smith, you go and show them! I wonder if the other family members he discussed this “slap in the face” with were the men in the family? It seems to me that it’s mostly (but certainly not all) men who have the hardest of times dealing with Caitlyn Jenner. They can’t understand it not just let it be.

Hardly surprising, but still a bit disappointing, that the EmoProgs are having fun pointing out the (alleged) speck in Mr. Smith’s eye while ignoring the moat in their own. Perhaps you can dance on his wife’s grave and tell us how she’s better off dead since her husband does not pass your ideological tests.
Personally, it would have been terrific to see those two female Army rangers as Women of the Year, but since they’re just cisgender white trash, I guess that doesn’t count.

Not for nothing, but Cobb died in 1961. Robinson was inducted in 1962. Cobb’s reputation for racism is greatly exaggerated: Cobb enthusiastically supported the integration of major league baseball when he was asked about Jackie Robinson in 1952. He told The Sporting News, “The negro has the right to compete in sports and who’s to say they have not?”

James Smith needs to lay off the hateorade. Honoring Moira Smith and Caitlyn Jenner are not mutually exclusive events. One neither affects nor diminishes the other.

Maybe from somewhere up above Moira Smith is saying “Fuckin’ A, these are my kind of women.” Cecile Richards was also honored BTW.

Returning the award purely because Jenner is a transsexual is pretty disgusting. I will say though, I don’t think Jenner deserves nearly as much praise as she’s getting. A couple months before the announcement and surgery Bruce killed 2 people and is facing manslaughter charges. And it’s not like Jenner just owned up to this. Jenner blamed the victims and refuses any responsibility even though he was driving way too fast. But she is now Caitlyn, so we’re supposed to ignore this kind of behavior since it happened when she was still Bruce? I just don’t think I’d vote for Jenner for person/man/woman of the year because Jenner isn’t really someone I think of as a decent human being. I’m all for people standing up for Trans rights, but Jenner has used it as a springboard to more financial success and responsibility avoidance. I’d say she’s gotten a pretty fair shake without pretending she’s a wonderful human being on top of it.

Yeah, I’m not one to bash Caitlyn/Bruce Jenner, but the adoration and congratulations seem a bit out of place when he’s an Olympic hero and multi-millionaire and then used his transition to get a tv show.
If he’s happier as Caitlyn, then I wish her all the best and a happy life.

Just exactly what has Caitlyn Jenner done to deserve a “woman of the year” award?
Jenner being awarded Woman of the Year is like Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009. Neither are deserving. Jenner didn’t even have full genital transition surgery. Not exactly a woman. She basically got dressed up like a woman and had a make over. And now she’s cashing in. And Obama as Peace President is Orwellian Doublespeak at its best. In reality he’s the Drone King warrior warmonger.
I’m with James Smith on this one. Even putting aside the above paragraph there has to be millions of “women” more deserving of this Hollywood award. Jenner is a whore just like the rest of the Kardashians, where everything is for sale.
