Yes, yes, yes. As desperately as I hope the US House will flip to blue, I’m also supporting state candidates to try and flip our state legislature blue as well. Just last night, I attended a presentation by a neighboring district’s candidate, going from local school board to state legislature.

And in my own state district, we had two excellent Democratic candidates in the primary, both educators. As I walked into my polling place, I encountered several supporters of one of the Democratic candidates, and I told them, “Today I’m voting for the other Democratic candidate, but if your candidate wins the primary, I’ll support her financially.” I’ve kept my word.

The teacher demographic has been blamed for everything but the kitchen sink for the last several decades.

I like that they’ve enjoyed as much of that as they can stand and are now positioning themselves to run the show themselves, since they can’t count on anyone else to do it for them.

As the electorate, we need to support these folks. It may be the only way to counter the money - get into the management positions and run the show.

C’mon, Teachers? What do they know?
