If this year’s any guide, it’ll take more than mere inundation to make the same true of Boston.
True enough; half my family and several friends were all but trapped for weeks. I guess there’ll always be a climate pocket somewhere I can visit to get my annual snow fix. Sorta like a weather zoo.
Must be even nicer to fly off the handle with a high horse response that has absolutely no bearing to any of the sentiments in the comment you’ve chosen to denigrate.
Mississippi ranks at or near the bottom of so many measures, it can only be explained not by the minority of whom you speak, but the majority who vote against their own interests.
I can see that facing reality has angered you. Yes, that reality can be frustrating, but I’m afraid you’ll find that castigating people for pointing that out doesn’t offer any lasting comfort.
The fact that the woman in the photo is from Mississippi has no bearing on it. Jesus was alleged to have come from the Middle East, and look how fucked up it is over there.
“any person” includes YOU.
Mississippi is often vying for the spot of the last rank in the nation in education. I completely get it now.
Bobby doesn’t care whether the bill is constitutional or not. He will most certainly be out of office by the time a ruling comes down when the the bill, if it passes, is challenged in court. This is posturing to stand out from the crowded GOP field of politicians who aspire to the presidency. Most members of the legislature don’t care either, just so they “send a message” to their Tea Party base.
Is Louisiana (and New Orleans in particular) ready to withstand the business and tourism hit they’ll take by passing this bigoted legislation? I guess we’ll see.
If there is a state more depended on conventions than Indiana, its Louisiana/Norlins–okay, except for Vegas. I hope the business community is happy.
These anti-Mississippi posts make me lol. The woman in this pictures is a lifelong resident of Mississippi and a lifelong advocate for human rights. There are quite of few in our state, advocates for human rights that is And she thinks it pretty funny that this picture of her and the sign her son made is making the rounds. She also thinks no place is perfect, and if you are bothered by things going on in Mississippi then come on over and help us fix them. Perfect people from perfect places are always welcome.
Peace&love, the woman in the picture
