“A crime was committed at the McDonald’s, not by journalists, but by local police who assaulted both Ryan and Wesley Lowery of The Washington Post during violent arrests,” the statement, authored by Washington bureau chief Ryan Grim and senior politics editor Sam Stein, said. “At least we know St. Louis County knows how to file charges. If Wesley Lowery and Ryan J. Reilly can be charged like this with the whole country watching, just imagine what happens when nobody is.”

Indeed. Nice statement.

This is standard practice in Iran also.

Aw, isn’t that sweet. Another mouthbreather that doesn’t understand the First Amendment and freedom of the press.

Run back to RedState. They miss you.

WaPo and HuffPo to St. Louis County: lawyer up, bitches.

I hope they demand this go all the way to court. The cross examination of the cops alone would be worth the price of admission. Plus seeing as they have the entire arrest on video, including the cop roughing them up when he didn’t think they were moving fast enough to suit him, this should be awesome.

This is the level of pettiness and stupidity in St. Louis County. All they needed to do is let this thing go and move on, but instead they’re going to prosecute two journalists from two of the most well known media outlets in the world. This is really monumentally stupid.

Hey Nick 1936…were you born in 1936? That would make you 79 and a grouchy old geezer…I can see why your mental facilities are not working up to par. And the only “hole” on this thread is yourself.
