it didn’t take long for the hire to draw scrutiny, including from some who questioned why an ex-football player landed the fellowship instead of a young, aspiring journalist.

Right or wrong, that’s how they roll over at HuffPo. Who doesn’t know that already? Who in the world has managed to achieve a position in life in which his or her opinion on the hire is held in high regard, but s/he hasn’t actually visited the HuffPo website?

As for the 9/11 stuff, the official story is garbage. There, I said it. Does that make me a “truther”? Easy to dismiss, then. But, that’s the point.

Yes, lets hire one of the few people who have actually KILLED an innocent person (Stallworth was driving drunk when he struck a pedestrian) and have him report on …national security?

Taking away his drivers license automatically helps national security.

I follow Stallworth on Twitter, I actually didn’t know he was a 9/11 truther but honestly it doesn’t surprise me since he leans towards the anti-state power side. Ignore his football background, he’s actually really sharp and insightful and knowledgeable about global affairs. If not for the manslaughter incident (kind of a huge deal…) he’d probably have a future in politics.

Actually they revoked his license (for life, IIRC) as one of the conditions of his plea.

What parts do you consider the garbage ‘official story’? As an expert do you dismiss the effect of a jet on the building the size of the Pentagon? Because apparently this guy does.

Gave up on HuffPo years ago when I saw the tabloid trend happening. Nice to see they’re continuing their slide towards irrelevance.

Um, what the hell background does Stallworth have that makes him qualified to comment, as a journalist, on national security matters? I mean other than he’s a 9/11 Truther Twitter Troll. Anyone? Bueller?

The collapse of Building 7 is the smoking gun, showing that the destruction of the 3 buildings on 9/11 was done by controlled demolition. It appears that the Bush/Cheney gang orchestrated the 9/11 attacks so they could get their wars going in the Middle East.
