Patton, the New York-New Jersey regional administrator for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, is spending four weeks living in four different NYCHA complexes.
Good on her for doing this! Unfortunately, it’s the people above her that are much more in need of this type of reality check. Still, i hope she can lend a valuable 1st-hand perspective to a crisis that needs her superiors’ attention. Best of luck, Lynne!
Fox Headline:
Wedding Planner rises to new heights and spends extra time with the press during her open and honest tour of liberal failure.
yeah, too bad there’s a trillion dollar budget deficit so we can’t afford to fix up the only place where poors live so that others can afford that 4th home in Vale
Seems to be a thing with HUD employees and elevators. Follow the leader?
But wasn’t Bennie talking about raising rent on the poors and cutting funding funding for the program? All while buying high priced dining sets?
But yeah, I’m sure this is someone else’s fault. Lynne can point fingers all she wants at NY but really this if Ben Carson is head of HUD she needs to make sure he’s included in her unminced words tweets.
Patton, an event planner best known for her work on the wedding of Trump’s son Eric, was widely criticized as unqualified when the president appointed her to the HUD job.
But Patton blamed “gross mismanagement” in a Facebook post.
Kinda like the Pres claiming “gross mismanagement” of CA federal forests for the fires.
I surely hope Patton has a rake in that elevator.
Patton is staying in the NYCHA complexes during the week. She’ll be spending her weekends at Trump Tower.
She’s going to write her “perspective” from her apartment at Trump Towers she shares with her boyfriend. This is a publicity stunt- period.
This is all just a dog and pony show to try to create a public record against DeBlasio’s administration. This fucking assclown hasn’t a shred of relevant experience or expertise. I bet she got on the elevator and pushed all kinds fo buttons just to make it stop like that.
She should have planned an activity for while they were waiting to be freed.
While I question her hiring, I have to give her credit for what she’s doing to draw attention to these problems.
Stuffing 11 people and camera gear in there probably didn’t help.
“Thank you, New York’s Bravest! Sadly, NYCHA residents — elderly & disabled — endure this type of debilitating systematic failure on a regular basis,” Patton later posted on Facebook
I’m sure the private contractors paid to maintain the buildings all ensured they had adequate accounting staff to charge the feds a fully burdened rate.
Using elevator - hard…
Just apublicity stunt - she was supposed to live like this a month ago , but she didnt because the shutdown happened . She didnt want to be in the elevator for longer than 10 minutes .
Not really. It’s just the everyday reality of people living there.
