Discussion for article #232531
You didnât have black people either, pious fraud. No wonder you were tearing up.
Besides, you did have Charles Witman. But let me guess, he was an atheist, right?
We didnât have indoor plumbing either.
And we wore onions on our belts, which was the fashion at the time.
Wow. Rural 19th and early 20th century schools were scary places. The farm boys were often feral and were bullies not only to other students but also to teachers. Lots of really horrifying tales along those lines. I wrote one that I know but deleted it, out of consideration for polite sensibilities.
What about the shootings at Bible schools?
This one in Elizabeth City, NC?
Or this one in Oakland?
Huck tells Jesus to butt out in 3,2,1.
Now we have state Governments allowing people to carry guns openly, wild west style. Well, except people in the wild west didnât carry weapons. We have the NRA working to make laws more lax, we have idiots like you scaring the shit out of people and making them feel like they NEED to carry to be safe. We have a culture thatâs sick and scared, and I know who ISN"T to blame.
Huckabee is the Mt Vesuvius of lies - spewing TOTAL FALSEHOODS -

Oh, and this:

Can Huck tell us why he wasnât carrying a bible instead?
Vaccinations werenât required either which helped the spread of polio, measles,Spanish flu etc. Conservatives think they can turn back the clock and have only the things that were good about the past. Dumbasses.
I went to a Public School and donât remember a bible in school. I do remember release time so the Catholics could go to religious study, but bibles not likely. Seems Huckabee forgot the commandment not to lie.
Huckabee is factually incorrect. There have been school shootings in the U.S.A. since before its founding.
HmmmâŚinteresting.
You say that there were no school shootings when Bibles were in schools.
This list says differently:
Yes there were fewer but there is no cause and effect if you look at the numbers after 1963 when the Supreme Court ruled in Abingdon School District v. Schempp up until the early 80âs.
It did explode after that, however, when the gun manufacturers started mass marketing military assault weapons to the civilian market to make up for lost handgun revenue.
That, Mike, is cause and effect and you can take a bow for your part in helping it happen.
I think a delusional Huckabee would be a perfect candidate for the delusional public who believe that the unemployed donât want to work, that children grow stronger with poverty or forced labor, that women that are raped are asking for it and at fault, that child abuse by priests doesnât make them pedophiles, athletes donât have to follow the same rules as the rest of us and that the church is pure.
He will make for them a perfect president, until he doesnât, but by then the damage is done.
If only the 6 year olds in Newtown, CT, had each a bulletproof bible!
Hate to admit it, but I agree with Huckleberry on this (to a point). I grew up in the 50âs and early 60âs in the south. We had bibles in our public schools, but nobody who looked like our president. As for guns, I remember that there was a law that made it a crime for someone ââŚto carry a firearm for the purpose of going armed.â That was in Tennessee. In short, we didnât have nitwits walking the streets with a pistol in their pockets and a chip on their shoulder. We took âGunsmokeâ and âHave Gun, Will Travelâ for what they wereâfantasies. Yeah, it was a different time.
Actually, the deadliest school massacre in history was in 1927 in Wisconsin.
I was in Public School before 1963, and never saw a Bible or even heard it mentioned. I guess Huck is just trying to get one specific demographic to open their wallets and give him some money. Just another grifter without a prayer of ever getting elected to anything, much less Ayatollah. Although he is a fat-wah-wah Ass. To quote George Harrison (peace be upon him) I donât need no wah-wah.
So this must mean there are no shootings in any hotel room with a bible. Problem solved!
Well, I already ignore any article with a headline containing âPalin says,â âTrump says,â or âLimbaugh says.â I guess Iâll add the Huckster to that list.
I donât notice organized prayer among the crew at that skyscraper theyâre erecting downtown. Yet strangely theyâre free of mass shootings and epidemic levels of violence as the building rises towards the sky. I wonder what their secret is?
