I seriously thought no politician ever got sued for real for using unauthorized music, only threatened with cease and desist letters in a show of pique against a particular candidate. So glad to see some group actually followed through with their threat.
Edit to add: He probably profited off of that appearance during his campaign by showing up to do that mini-rally with that freakin’ nutcase, and then sent out a fundraising letter immediately after related to his defense of traditional marriage bullshit. So he made out. He profited from using that tune and in a sense therefore should pay back what he stole.

Someone here told me awhile back they knew about how the music industry farms out these tunes (against the band’s wishes sometimes I guess) and how many are in the public domain or something…I’ll have to go back months to find out what they wrote. Something about buying the rights as that person had claimed tRump has done with music he has used…I’ll try to look it up. I gotta take the dog out to pee now and check on my community gardeners…
