Discussion: Huckabee To Hold ‘#I’mWithKim Liberty Rally’ At Kentucky Jail

I don’t know if Vermont frowns upon atheists holding office. We have too many of them in this state to frown at anyone holding office…for that matter, I don’t even know if our Governor goes to church.

this is an excellent visual… every fucking time i encounter one of these mouthbreathing zealots, i challenge them to provide the reports of the churches being burned; the pastors arrested; the businesses seized and the families driven from their communities to prove this horrific persecution they are subject to in this country.
oddly, the conversation ends there…
just once i would love to see one of those cable chattermonkeys ask the same question.

The “real” persecution started in 1941. Look at Bing Crosby (via Irving Berlin) starting the first battle in the War against Christmas! Damn that liberal Hollywood.

Earlier this week, Huckabee voiced support for Davis, who said that she is refusing to grant the licenses “under God’s authority.” On Thursday, he called her arrest proof that we’re witnessing the “criminalization of Christianity in our country” and insisted that “Government is not God.”

Very, very true. And in America, God is not the Government.

Well, Mikey, one of two possible outcomes here:

1, Judge Bunning will completely ignore you, or

2, Judge Bunning will give you a crash course in Legal reality…

Exactly. Its all about expanding those mailing lists for future grifting after the campaign is over.

Even Dick Cheney and his spawn are saying that Davis deserves to be jailed

“It’s the law of the land and as a general proposition, it seems to me you’ve got to go forward with it,” Dick Cheney argued.

Newsmax host Steve Malzberg suggested to the Cheneys that forcing Davis to serve LGBT people could be a “step” toward forcing churches and synagogues to perform same-sex weddings.

But Liz Cheney shot down Malzberg’s logic.

“As my dad said, it is the law of the land,” the younger Cheney noted. “The court has ruled. And she’s not an employee of a church or synagogue, she’s a government employee. So, she has an obligation to uphold the law.”

Religion requires congregation and a physical place of worship.
Religion requires money.

Faith requires only belief.

Became internet-ordained some years ago-- and have performed civil ceremonies.
But I have no use for religion.

He wouldn’ta thunk that when he was vice President.

I know several people who are ordained ministers without an actual church.

My religious beliefs are best described as ‘Pagan’, but that may be rather difficult to explain to most people.

Go ahead, grifter. Maybe you can sell the suckers your diabetes cure while they’re there.

One grifter supporting another grifter? This guy will never be on a national ticket, so he’s pandering to the national press in hopes of getting the Fundie rubes to line his pockets for yet another election cycle. It’s pathetic how easy it is to con some people.

huckabee: AMNESTY for this lawbreaker!

I wish someone would ask them the question Dan Savage proposed; “Would you hold a rally supporting a Quaker employee who refused to issue gun licenses on religious grounds?”

HucK, just organize an anarchy (or liberty) rally and try to understand the irony involved:

Huck, saying one can ignore a law or the courts because of religion is ADVOCATING ANARCHY
Do you really wanna go there?

The source of Ms. Davis’s objection to granting marriage licences is Biblical law in Leviticus. Leviticus 20:10: “If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife–with the wife of his neighbor–both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.” Ms. Davis is on her fourth husband.

Is Huckabee going to Kentucky to carry out God’s law by killing Ms. Davis and her husband?, or is he just cherry-picking Biblical law for political or other reasons? If he won’t act according to Leviticus 20:10, should he act on any of it? Should anyone?
